Metal or plastic? Which type of magazine do you prefer?
metal

I prefer plastic just due to weight saving. I put my mags in a chest rig when I go innawoods so it's nice to be able to carry them all loaded without undue back pain. Though metals would/ are a lot stronger.
Bakelite, always bakelite
Depends

Metal.
It's the easiest material to do pic related with.
>>30663107
Pic related actually makes them lighter than the promag magazines.

For '74s you mean.
Bakelite 7.62s just don't look right.
Bakelite
Need you to ask?

Your face doesnt look right, m8
>>30663044
is is a optical illusion or is the Bakelite mag smaller than the others?
>>30666344
just an illusion. Here's a quick shoop with the bakelite copied, same size
>>30663044
>All of them.
Any surplus mag will outlive you.

Wat?
>>30663044
metal for ak
polymer for ar
i still own some poly mags for my ak and some metal mags for my ar but for some reason I just prefer them like that.

desu senpai i juse magpul gen3 and not one, even the gen1 ones, never failed on me.
And i even runned some classes with them.
They holt up just fine, as long as you don't do retarded shit like magpushups or magpullups.
I never understood these kinds of "slav testing".
No other platform doe's magpullups.....not one!
Circle 10 if plastic. Best AK magazine on the market, just super expensive.
Metal ones are a hit or a miss. Can be excellent or shit.

>Best AK magazine on the market
Um, no that would be the AK103.
((10))s were only worth it when Chief Thunder was selling them @~$8-$10.
I've yet to see a steel surplus mag that was actually shit.
Beat to shit, perhaps.
But reparable into a functional mag every time.

I've actually had surplus magazines that were brand new from Yugoslavia that were out of spec. The feed lips were either bent or too far apart from each other and it would conflict with the bolt of two of my AKs, failing to chamber a round. Every mag can't be perfect and it's bound to happen.
I've had some really ratty and banged up magazines from a country of an unknown origin that are loose but work fine, too.
The Polish refinished surplus mags that AIM Surplus had awhile ago for 10 bucks are absolutely fantastic. If you can ever get them again for that much, I highly recommend them. They're the best steel surplus I've ever seen.
