I got some locally made (I really hope he wasn't bullshitting me) AR500 steel targets. I also got an armorers tool finally, and the real score, I found a surplus guy and bought 12 Gucci af Knights Armament ribbed rail covers for 10$. Brand new price for those rail covers would be around $180.

The AR world has some idea that when a better revision of an item comes out that the previous models just turn to shit that very day. The tan and magpul followers will do just fine. The Green followers will do just fine. The black followers will work, I have a black follower mag I have been using for years just for shits and giggles. My greens still get used right along side my tans.
Another big issue to look at is the feed lips of the magazine. If they start going out of spec on the mag they wont have a good hold on the next round in the stack. I have seen more issues from fucked up feed lips than I have followers.
Pro tip, Buy a Pmag, take the dust cover off the mag and put it it your kit. The back tab that is protruding can also be used as a gauge to make sure your feed lips aren't out of spec . Do this and also clean your damn magazines and you wont have as many issues.

I have one. Round count only ~1,200 because it is more of a fireball making range toy and used to explain to newguns how "common sense" gun laws result in it being a pistol.

Quadrail was cheap shit and started coming loose at maybe 300 rounds because they are apparently too cheap to spring for loctite.

I have the StrikeFire II and love it. The red/green feature is especially nice.
I prefer the standard A2 grip to the MOE, it's easier to reach the safety selector for me, but it may be different for you. Go grab a Colt with MOE gear at your LGS and see how it feels first.
CTR stock is a solid choice, but doesn't really offer anything over the M4 stock besides the friction lock.
