So, a couple months ago I came across some information about this very cool looking new handgun. I fucking want it, I don't care about the details.

I sent the company an email asking when the pistol would be available in the U.S. and some other questions. A couple days ago I got a reply. Just thought I would share it here in case anybody was interested.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the FK Field Pistol by FK Brno. At this point in time we have a conditional license to import the firearm from the Czech Republic. We are awaiting final approval from the ATF. This could take weeks or even a few months for their unconditional approval.
Once approved International Firearm Corporation will be the designated importer and one of the national distributors. The firearm and all accessories can be purchased directly from IFC or through a dealer. The ammunition will be in abundant supplies and will be available through the same channels as the firearm. As of now, a price has not been established for the firearm and the ammunition will be similarly priced to a box of self defense .44 magnum.
This pistol is unlike any before it. It has the capability of shooting a 1.5" grouping at 110 yards with iron sights. I have been fortunate enough to experience this first hand. It is truly unlike anything I have ever shot. It feels like a 1911, with the recoil of a .40 cal, and the power of a 44 magnum. Any shooter can shoot one handed and hit a 12" steel plate at unprecedented distances. The control, accuracy and power are unlike any pistol before it.
