The big difference though is the frame length, it's based on the large frame DW but all the SuperMags are about a quarter of an inch longer. As I've learned the only thing that really interchanges with normal DW's is the sights, and grips.
Your PPC Dan, has it had its frame flat topped? Never seen one in person but I know from experience with S&W that some of those sight ribs require you to mill the top strap.

>>30659636
What do you think about this gun? My local Cabelas has had one on the shelf in their gun library for months now. They're asking like $800, but since it has either a matte blue or light gray parkerized finish and has been rechambered to .380 ACP, that just seems like a lot of money for one.
I'm probably the only one who would admit to having one.
Stevens model 820, it's the 12ga above the AR and below the 870, another mention is the Marlin Model 25, and the Browning Challenger II
>>30659640
Mine is an M18a1 converted from an M18. Roughly twelve firing in private hands in the US, most of which are rewelds. Bunch of Italian parts kits were imported about 15 years ago.
Last one I saw for sale was $30k with accessories.
DD only applies to the gun as the projectiles available are not explosive.
>>30659661
$800?! That's insane.
I paid $250 for mine, and that included 200 rounds of Hornady crit. defense ammo.
Mine's a .380 conversion as well, because 9mm Browning Long is extinct in the wild.
It shoots well for what it is. Recoil's nothing, really. It's heavier than it looks, but still not too heavy.
Biggest problem: failures to feed. I can seldom make it through a full magazine(of only 7 rounds) without a stoppage where a cartridge gets jammed trying to get into the chamber.
I've known others who had these and had no problems like that, but this is my experience. If it weren't for that very big problem, I'd consider carrying it, as it's long, but slim and keeps a low profile, not having external hammer or anything.
It's a license-built clone of JMB's FN 1903, and has parts interchangeability with same, which is sort of a plus, but those parts aren't particularly easy to find, either.
I would not pay $800 for it unless it came with some kind of robot prostitute or something.
