Hunting camo really is best but it has to be matched very specifically to the climate and environment that you're oper8ing in. Military camouflage has always been more general purpose

I wear Finnish M91 pants on a daily basis (bought a set for voluntary exercises, used them for two years before I got issued a set of M05s to be kept at home), they are comfy, sometimes people stare at me, though whether they are just curious or something else is anyone's guess...
