My baby got scratches >:( why did this happen and are they fixable? It's a gen 4, is this finish just bad? I tried to rack the slide on my pocket for the fuck of it and I hit my edc knife with the slide.
I'm pissed, anyways I heard glock will refinish it if u really start to scratch the shit out of it, so if I end up trashing it will they refinish for cheap?
Are you S E R I O U S L Y fucking complaining about this?

Yes. I heard you're supposed to beat the shit out of glocks but Idk
It's my first gun and I just got it
The beauty of the Glock is that it's the epitome of mass production. The finish is infinitely unimportant OP, as long as it doesn't affect functionality you shouldn't care.
I've also heard that they changed their finishing process between Gen 3 and 4s, with the 4 being of a lesser quality. If you care so much, just get that shit cerakoted

I sure hope you never have to use a hammer on a nail, might ding it up.
Also, knives get dull from using them. Clothes get dirty if you wear them. But your body get weak from not using it.

its normal and i thought the same as i had my first gun, also a glock. it also came new out the box with minor finish scratches ehich u only see in the right light angle. brush was moving free in the box. triggers newgunz autism hard...
indeed they changed their finishing on gen 4s. not tennifer process anymore (dont know correct english term) because of all the cyanid outcomes. but scratched is just the black finish, steel is still in depth heat treated with very good hardness on rockwell scale and decomposition resistance. maybe the bright scratch parts is even just residue from the knife and you can swipe it away with oil.
use your gun a little bit, and you know if you wanna have a valuable tool or a scratch free safe queen

Anon, all gun finishes scratch. Glock charges 60ish for the whole shebang.

the only way to keep a gun from getting scratched is by leaving it in the safe
just by firing it you're going to scuff the finish (barrel/slide/etc)

good bait

real advice:
kys
since its just metal transfer, use a bit of mag polish and buff the tits out of it. it may leave a little bit of a shiny coating after. if that still bothers you, wipe off with brakleen or rubbing alcohol. thank me later, BLM bandwagoner

>he fires his guns
ahahaha, idiot. I keep my guns wrapped in bubble wrap and stored in a climate controlled safe 20 feet underground so they wont get worn out.
