I really like 1911 style pistols and want to purchase one. Kimber is my favorite, but do any of you all have any other good suggestions?
Not kimber.

>Kimber is my favorite
How is it your favorite if you don't have it

Springfield first, Ruger second. Best options if budget allows, if not see RIA
Korth 1911 is beyond technology.
It's art!!!
If you want to put money in a 1911. Accept no substitute.

Jesus christ, thats hideous.

for u
If you want a fuckaround gun, RIA. If you want a duty or competition gun, build your own with Caspian and Ed Brown parts.
>tfw you can build a doublestack 1911 9mm race gun capable of major power factor loads with a 28rd mag that meets uspsa/ipsc mag lengths for around a thousand

>Roller locked
>higher bore axis
>Only manages to be AS accurate as a typical Baer
Never in a million years

I went to a gun range and tried some of them. I tried a Kimber, Colt, and Springfield. Just wanted to know if /k/ had any better suggestions.

Your mom be like "oh that Colt" when she looking at a Star model B or a STI 2011

If you're willing to drop the dosh on a Kimber, you'd be better served by a Dan Wesson.
If you buy a 1911,
Make shure you don't buy one with the grip safety!!!
>tfw people choose to buy 1911 and that's the only Good handgun i can buy.. fuck how i wish i could buy Glock 19..

It really hurts, and we also must pay 3k for it.
Why even live?
>>30620784
what a waste of money

came here to say exactly this
>>30620966
You tried a Kimber that worked, really a rare thing, unless the range owners sell them and have a sample gun that magically works for sales. Try Rock Island if you have not already.

Some poor bastard actually bought that monstrosity.

Look into Sig's 1911. Mine runs flawlessly and looks good. Has an external extractor though. Retails at ~$800.
