Why are American pistols so ugly?
Good question.
>>30618010
Old America guns are awesome.
Italians have the best looking pistols
>>30618010
Americans are not known for their aesthetics.
>>30618010
Because they are designed to work.
???
>>30618037
I always wondered what that latch is for. Some kind of foregrip or just a counter weight to reduce recoil when firing in bursts?
>Ugly
>S&W 5906
Is this bait?
Also, fuck storefronts.
>>30618263
i heard theyre shit but i want one cuz i want to be buck rogers
>>30618283
It's a foregrip, the 93r can shoot full auto iirc.
Engravings give you no tactical advantage whatsoever. But Jesus, these are pretty.

We have an archetype example of any physical concept that our brain keeps ready to use. If someone mentions "Bird" without any other context, you likely think of a pigeon or a robin, not a penguin or an ostrich. It's funny that you open with that picture, OP, because when someone says "gun" the old S&W semi-autos are immediately what I think of. To me, that is exactly what a pistol should look like.

Really, nigger?
*posts 1911*
You're calling THIS ugly!?
>>30618290
It looks like the bastard child of a 1911, a sig and a beretta.
>>30618479
>It looks like almost every other full size pistol with an external hammer
Do you have anything of worth to say or are you just projecting?
>>30618010
its ok the koreans fixed that one
>>30618468
The 1911 doesn't win any pageants. It is totally utilitarian and unappealing. Don't get me wrong; I wouldn't have it any other way. A 1911 is ugly in the way as a good mastiff: ugly but charming.

>ugly but charming
Describes everything English
American Perfection
>>30618529
There's plenty of English things that aren't charming.
>>30618490
The Hi-Power looks way better
>>30618529
Huh. Come to think of it...
>>30618579
Its virtually identical to the OP!
>>30618540
I actually had a chance to hold one of these for the first time last night; it wasn't nearly as horrible as I had expected. I'd still never get one but that slide racked really easily for a chunk of metal weighing approximately 20 lbs.
>>30618010
Stainless smiths are beautiful.
I'm sorry wherever you posted this shitty bait from doesn't allow you the freedoms we have, but please try to understand, their is a market for guns here that isn't military and police, thus we can have guns that don't all look alike, i know this is hard, but please try to understand.
America wins... again. What a surprise.

Top kek
>>30618010
Fuck you that beautiful. Its the only metal framed gun I've ever wanted, I like it more than my PPK.
>>30618496
>exposed trigger bar
>fixed
no thank you
>>30618010
>>30619039
Ever shot the two back to back?
>>30618010
Only view that matters is the sights in alignment
Not all of us pose in front of the mirror with our guns to feel manly.
>>30618037
I wish the 93r wasn't a complete piece of shit
>>30622550
You just described all berettas.
>>30618421
Engravings help hold oil which protects the finish.
>>30618468
You know I really like the look of the original 1911. Every time I see it I just want to chomp on a big fat cigar and imagine myself one handed magdumping it while laughing and spitting tobacco juice everywhere like a gruff American male.
>>30618263
Think I just vomited a little
>>30618367
I had one (except blued, not nickel)for about three years
The firing pin broke after about 1000 rounds of continuous fire, and it took me over a year to find another firing pin (bought three from someone just because I didn't want to be SOL if another broke) and with the new firing pin I put thousands and thousands of rounds through it with no problem.
I sold it for over double what I paid for it about two years ago.
