Hypothetically, you need to arm 5-10 folks with rifles of a common caliber (preferably semi auto)

What rifle do you choose that wouldnt fuck your finances?

>inb4 pic related
>>
Alot would depend on mission but SKS on the low end AR on the high end.
>>
>>30616373
Hypothetically you've got 20 acres in the middle of nowhere.

Not actively seeking conflict, but you want your merry band to be able to defend your stuff if need be.
>>
>>30616373
sks runs like $450 nowadays. You can get a budget AR for like $500-550.Buy a lower and an upper and sometimes if you wait for a sale you can some good uppers with BCG/CH shipped free on PSA.
>>
SKS $400 each easily bought.
AR15 $600 each easily bought/built.
AK47 $700 each easily bought.
SKSs are the least customizable but the most fool proof of the bunch, they're kinda hard to screw up.
AKs and ARs are more customizable, but easier to screw up.
Decent ammo prices are 25cpr for the AK and SKS, and 30-35cpr for AR.

This is also a valid option now that they make factory 20 rounders.
They're not pretty but they're damn reliable with an unbeatable warranty.
>>
>>30616392
20 acres is a pretty small space

put two riflemen on each leg of the perimeter, and have two sentries patrolling the interior. give them each a savage axis in 308 and a few extra mags

if somebody comes up to the perimeter you stop them, if they get thru you alert the patrolmen and send reinforcements. reinforcements take one man from each perimeter team to search the interior. remaining riflemen move to the corners of the property rather than along the legs. this way you still have two sets of eyes covering each leg of the perimeter.

each man should have a radio as well.

Honestly the best solution posted. Cheapest practical semi-auto long gun for the situation.

Maybe give one or two of your guys something bolt action with a bit more range, but a semi-auto long gun is a must have for the bulk of your troops, even if it is the pistol caliber meme.

Here in swissland if I want to quickly and cheaply arm people I would get K31s and Stgw 57s.

K31 is around 100 USD and a Stgw 57 is 300 USD.

>>30619521
Consider ways to make it even more homosexual
>>
>>30619471
A single shot from an SKS loaded with Leadtip or hollow point will put a nigger on his ass at 300 yards.

9mm can't reach out and touch people, and wont reliably penetrate even soft body armor, which will be everywhere in the INNAWOODS scenario, either on deserted law enforcement/military, active law enforcement/military, or looted from the abandoned armories of the above.. You'll expend 9mm at like 4 times the rate of the SKS fags, and the intimidation factor of the SKS/AK will save you ammo.

Surplus, Imported Russian and Domestically produced 7.62x39 is literally everywhere in America, it is the second most popular cartridge.
>>
10/22?

$200 for rifle
$50 for good red dot

Reliable, easy to shoot, won't instantly blow your eardrums, easy to suppress, cheap ammo....

Only downside is lethality. Why won't ruger make a 32acp 10/22? That would be a good arm-your-neighborhood weapon..
>>
>>30619535
It's a factory option
>>
>>30619546
Because then it would be a 10/32

Why not jump up to .380 though
>>
>>30619546
IMO the Nugget M44 is the ultimate arm your neighbor weapon.

It's cheap and reliable, simple to operate, rugged and plenty lethal.

Plus the neighbor you have to arm is a neighbor who probably doesn't know much about guns or firing discipline and should not be handed a a semi auto off the bat, he will waste all your ammo and not hit shit.
>>
I would say break top shotgun? Make people conserve their ammo. Easily able to reload if you teach them how, plus it would instill value into their shots. Most can be had for around 150-200. Very easy to use without much exp just point and shoot. Plus no magazines or stripper clips for new shooters to lose. Ammo has a wide variety and uses.
But in my dreams I would say just go down to your local black market dealer in Cape Town South Africa and buy everyone a type 56 for 8$ usd
>>
>>30619575
I love my m44 but it is stupid for this situation

Savage 308 bolt actions are 400% better
- easier to mount a scope
- less finicky with loading
- more accurate
- same cost, more or less
- much more ammo avalible
>>
I'd choose 7.62x39 for being the cheapest round that can put down two and four legged blacks, and is good for deer too. I'd say SKS for the rifle.
>>
>>30619591
I have like 5 M44s that I bought 15 years ago for $49.99 each.

>Easier to mount a scope. You're arming jimmy the retail clerk next door, he doesn't need a a scope, nor do you want him to have a scope, he is not a trained marksman, giving him a scope will make him think he is and he will try taking unnecessary shot that he cannot land, and possibly start fights that did not need to happen, you are giving him a gun to defend his life, not giving him a gun to carry out a guerilla war against the local police or local oppressive militia
>Less finicky with loading.
You have a point here.
>More accurate.
By the tiniest of margins, and again, you're not arming a trained sniper, at the ranges Jimmy will be shooting realistically, the miss will come from the man not the gun, My m44s will all put a bullet in a 4 inch circle at 300 yards, every single time, with open sights from a bench rest.

>Ammo.
7.62x54R is widely available and cheap, I keep a hundred rounds for each rifle, that's 20 reloads per gun, realistically that is weeks worth of ammo at minimum. If you find yourtself in a position to resupply 7.62x51 NATO ammunition from a military or police stockpile you have probably found yourself in a situation to appropriate a 7.61x51 weapon as well.

You'd really give up your "actual" firearms freedom just to own a few guns you currently can't here?
IIRC, sweden is extremely restrictive with "how" and "where" you use your guns compared to the US.
Correct me if I'm wrong. But I'm under the impression that you can't just go and do casual backyard shooting etc.
>>
If I'm having to arm them, I assume they don't have their own guns or any training.
The Russians had a solution to that: the Mosin. Give Ivan ten minutes of training. "Is gun. Shoot. Put bullet here when need to shoot more."
Alternatively, a cheap Mossy 500 or Remmy 870 with 00 buck fits the bill too.
I'm not going to arm several people with firearms that I'm going to have to go back and monitor every five minutes as they try to figure out what some particular feature does.
IF I have time for a little training, then stock AR-15's (with iron sights, no fancy attachment shit) are great. Highly effective, and once the first round is chambered and the safety is off, hard to fuck up for the next 29 at least.

If you feel the need to arm ten people and you're not considering reloading you're doing it fucking wrong. Lead molds + lube + powder + annealing rig, preferably inductive = sustainable. You can pretty easily (relatively speaking) reload primers, too.
>>30616351
>Hypothetically, you need to arm 5-10 folks with rifles of a common caliber (preferably semi auto)
Yeah, that's like saying WAR: X vs Y (no nukes). It's just not how it works.
Survival, most are dead: AR-15, hands down. You can completely service an AR-15 with two pounds in hand tools. A couple pounds of lead and a couple ounces of tin, and you cast bullets.

other bullshit: AR-15

Single-shot break-open shotgun loaded with low-recoil buck. An orang-outang could figure out how to use it -- no possibility of freaking out and forgetting how to operate it. Also no possibility of panic/sympathy fire. Put a cartridge holder and a sling on it and your amateur militia can carry it hands free and always have ammo when they pick it up. Add a recyclable cloth grocery bag with more shells, bottled water, first aid kit, small flashlight, etc. and you're good to go.
