Is it weird that if I want a revolver with larger caliber ammo and a pistol in smaller caliber ammo simply because that's how it always is in video games, and thus feels right?

I bought a Beretta M9 partially because of Resident Evil. I didn't care for the gun much so I sold it and stopped buying guns based on video games. Even now playing video games that use guns I own in real life gives me no feels whatsoever.
Lucky, I guess since video game funs tend to be on the pricier side.

It's the exact opposite for me.
I was aware of the Samurai Edge when I was a kid, playing RE3 and such. But when I got older and started shooting, I fell in love with the Beretta 92. And well, now....pic related.

RE4 was good and is rightly praised as the pinnacle of the series but, for me, co-op makes 5 a more enjoyable game over 4. But I still think Code Veronica is the best game overall since it was still in keeping with how the games traditionally played before 4 released.

The M9 just felt wrong to me. The grips were too fat (even with the slimmer Hogue non-wrap around panels) and the sights felt too tall. I bought P226 with some of the funds from selling the M9 and it is a much better fit to me.
