the Glock is a regular 17 that has a slide cut for an RDS.
It's mostly whichever you like more. Try to go hold a full sized M&P and Glock 17 in real life and choose the one that feels better in the hand.

Not for me. For my first "I bought this" pistol I tried out Sigs, Glocks, M&P, Ruger and Springfield. The Glock won on shootability. If you were raised on shitty grip angles designed by people who thought you might have to box an enemy with your handgun (on account of potential FTF/FTE), I can see how the Glock might seem unnatural, just like walking to the corner gas station to buy more Mountain Dew and pizza seems unnatural to the obese kid who gets his mom to drive him there. But what do I know? -- I'm not MARSOC/Delta/Rangers/most-special-forces-units-in-the-world.

The m&p core is a longslide version with a apex trigger kit and some new backstraps, as well as tall irons
The glock mos is a glock with tall irons and a micro rds cutout
The m&p has ambi controls.
Personally, id go with the m&p core
