Why do people talk shit about stamped steel?

>Implying this gun isn't revered solely due to the average consumer's belief that expense is an accurate measure of quality.
They're really great guns despite being dated desu. The truth is, if these guns were being sold as dirt cheap $300 surplus anons would be calling them garbage and building AR-15s instead. We see swiss anons clamoring for budget tier AR-15s all the time at well above tangible value. Same thing with the Swiss guns stateside.

They do?

Yeah but that's more of an ak fag thing. Nerds will argue about anything. I'm just saying that I've never heard anyone shitting on stamped firearms in general.

Feels like a tin can.

This. Only AKfags care. No one trash talks G3s, MG42s, 55Xs, MP40s, etc based on their receiver design.

Ever seen a SAM-7SF buyer in full purchase justification mode? It ain't pretty.

They talk shit about the 552 because it sheared the piston off the bolt. That's why they went back to the 550 style gas system for the 553 (which they don't talk shit about).

Because stamping is usually done to cut costs and time, which usually means other time saving and cost cutting measures are implemented as well, such as quality control.
This isn't always the case and it doesn't mean stamping is bad or inferior, but it's a general rule of thumb.
