I want a red dot but i don't want an Aimpoint because its made in Sweden.
I hear Eotechs are bad so what are my other options?
>>
>>30601662
whats wrong with swedish products other than the fact that you are supporting cuckolds?
>>
>>30601662
Trijicon MRO $600
>>
>>30601662
Vortex get written off for cheap, but the sparc one and two are solid.
>>
>>30601662
Get an aimpoint and stop being a nigger, you piece of shit
>>
>>30601694
That might be my only option or a primary arms or vortex.
redpill me on PA or Vortex
>>
>>30601662
I've only read good things about Vortex, good warranty.
http://www.recoilweb.com/vortex-sparc-ii-the-dot-that-would-not-die-67267.html

I'll probably get one for myself once I put some money aside.
>>
>>30601724
Vortex isn't bad from what I've seen and heard. But seriously, just get an Aimpoint.
>>
My buddy has a vortex strikefire ii and it's damn nice I'd say. If import prices make it a bitch and comparable to triji or aimpoint products, I'd just go with those though.

MRO

>>30601694

you're fucking up if you pay $600 for an MRO
>>
>>30601827
i agree. MRO is $400 with no mount, figure another $50-100 depending on mount you want.
meprolight is naother option. less popular but worth a look
>>
MRO and PRO both have a starfire/blurryness to them due to my shitty eyes, even when wearing glasses. What should I get for an optic?
>>
OP here
I actually like larger sights or tube sights over micro red dot sights
is the PRO my only option if i cant afford the comp m4
Should i buy a used M3?
>>
>>30601662
Thanks for making this post op, i was deadset on a PRO but now i remember i am a real american. Fights for the rights of everyman
>>
>>30601928

the objective size of the MRO is 25mm while the PRO is 26mm. If you want to buy a substantially heavier optic because

>muh larg toob sites

be my guest, but you should probably do your research
>>
>>30601967
Large optics make the rifle look complete to me
>>
>>30601662
Advanced Micro Dot

It's an aimpoint but better
>>
>>30602016

they also can make them heavy af. if you only plan to ever bench shoot it then its fine but the first time you go innawoods you'll start to regret heavy parts
>>
>>30602115
>Advanced Micro Dot

No it isn't and even PA themselves acknowledge Aimpoint as being the better and more durable dot

t. pa micro dot owner
>>
Any Meprolight owners have an opinion? I want one because reviews say they are comparable to the high end optics while at a more reasonable price.

I love my pro.
>>
Aimpoint so it can stay on for years and can take a beating.... I have a T1 and it takes a beating
>>
Get an Aimpoint PRO. You won't be sorry
>>
>>30603522
Same. I put a clear front cap on as well, so I can shoot and see with both covers on now. Pretty legit way to keep your glass protected.
>>
>>30601704
Do the Sparc 2. Sparc 1 has some design issues that make it a bad "military" optic.
>>
>>30601900
you have astigmatism, nigga. Don't know if there's anything that won't be blurry.

Not even that guy

I went to the eye doc and they didn't say shit I thought sights looked like that for everyone.
>>
>>30601900
I've got the 'stigmatism too anon and only things with etched reticules work well. I use a PA dot but it looks like a goddam grape bunch.
>>
Anyone use the sig Romeo 4?
>>
Aimpoint PRO

Don't waste time with anything else. Unless it's an Aimpoint micro.
>>
>>30601662
I've had five eotechs, two patrol red dot aim points, and one micro t2. I've only ever shot out (total fubar, from just shooting, unfixable) one eotech, an exps3nv, it took about 3,000 rounds for this to happen. Although the aim points have never been an issue I prefer the field of view the eotechs provide. Also battery availability is convenient for eotechs. Of the aim points I like the micro t2 the most, but I've found it almost comparable to just a docter sight.
>>
>>30602221
Go watch AKOUs videos on it
>>
>>30601704
Auto shutoff is kinda gay.
>>
I have an astigmatism and need some CQC optics. Aimpoints combat banana is out. Eotechs holographic kinda work. Am I missing anything? I need like 20 of them too.

Bruh, I will shill the MD-ADS here all day, every day. But that's retarded. You get the MD-ADS if you want a solid microdot with a stupidly long battery life, but you can't afford/don't want to pay the obnoxious $600+ for a T-2. It's probably the best bang-for-your-buck optic out there, but it is objectively inferior to an Aimpoint.

All of you
>>
>>30601900
You need a prismatic optic. ACOGs are high end options, Vortex Strike Eagle and PST are solid variable power scopes with an etched reticle.
>>
I'm using a Burris Fast fire 2 on my ps90 right now, having trouble sighting it at 15 yards. Should I look at selling and getting a better optic or just figure my shit out?
>>
>>30606468
ELCAN has better glass.
>>
>>30607293
Too bad it's a complete piece of shit.
>>
So is Eotech still shit? Really like their reticle etc.
>>
get a holosun; it's liek an aimpoint, but good.
>>
>>30601900
Every electronic optic will be blurry and look like shit. Accept it and work through it.
>>
>>30607472
>it's liek an aimpoint, but China.

Fix't
>>
>>30601662

Meprolight from what I heard is great , aimpoint is also good. Myself being low on the cash was able to snag a spitfire for cheap as balls 150$.

Vortex is damn good for the price and the spitfire is a good optic. Also dat VIP warrenty is awesome.

In reality so far from what I know aimpoint , mepro and trigicon are the top and for budget vortex and some PA are hard to beat.
>>
>>30601662

Got me an Aimpoint CompM4 for $300 on eBay. Says, "Made in Sweden" right on the side and everything. Excellent deal, a bit of wear but that's alright. A fucking bomb would go off right next to me and the Aimpoint would still be working even if I was dead.
>>
>>30607519
No! You actually made me a bit upset anon. I paid just a little more for a new aimpoint.
>>
Can someone aware me on why eotech sucks? I've never heard of this before. is it because of weight?
>>
>>30608122

They shift zero

>Go watch AKOUs videos on it

I have. It was the reason I bought it in the first place. It is a pretty durable dot but to say it's more durable or equal to an aimpoint would be straight up lying.

There's been many cases of anons frying their emitters when they put it on an ultimak and got it hot enough. On the other hand, aimpoints are able to survive housefires, still be able to get zeroed.
>>
>>30608415
haven't used one, but fingerfuck one frequently at the store I work at.
good glass quality, very little tint. seems awesome for the price.

Get a Bushnell TRS-25....

Great optic for less money than you spent on the fucking weapon.
>>
>>30608566
I'm on the fence between one of these and a trijicon rxo for my ksg
>>
>>30608584

Opinion discarded
(The trs-25 is good though, just out priced by the PA AMRD
>>
>>30608486
This.
" hur durr eotech is shit"
It shifted zero only when going from deep water into artic level weather. None of the faggots on here are gonna have an optic that has successfully served all over the gwot fail on you during your camping trips and fucking your rifle.
>>
>>30608085

It's alright. Yours has a warranty. I'm sure if I sent mine back for repairs they would confiscate it and send it back to Uncle Sam since I'm pretty sure it's "acquired" military gear.
>>
>>30609005
How much money have you invested in your Eotechs?
>>
>>30609005

Places that snow and hunting in those places might have a effect on the optic so yes there is that.

So fuck yes you want that optic that won't shift in cold weather.
>>
>>30609005
They've also unsuccessfully served all over the gwot, what with all the complaints about fucky battery contacts and battery compartments. The real reason they even were used originally is because Aimpoint couldn't keep up with demand and the Army had to go COTS and do one-off purchases to supply people any optics at all. Then later they got their way into SOCOM's SOPMOD list.
