Anybody knows about the quality and history about this?
It's made in Spain, chambered in .38Spl. Manufactured around 1920-1930. It's worth about $150. Don't fire it without having a gunsmith check it out first; in all likelihood it has poor lockup.

Here's a start nigger, learn to google, this took me all of 1 minute
Also on a not-asshole note, how'd you come about this gun you have no knowledge of? I'm always jealous of posts where people just "find guns" in attics or basements or wherever, or buy mystery guns at pawn shops that happen to turn out to be neat or have history. You find, buy, inherit, or what?

Ah, that old place.
Yeah I'd only shoot soft .38S&W loads out of it, wouldn't necessarily trust it to shoot .38 Special without knowing it's condition for sure.
Can you shine a light down the barrel of the gun and show us the bore? That'd tell us a lot about it's condition.

Be careful who you tell about the gun then.
First thing I'd do is to clean the thing, it looks grimey and filthy, get a can of Ballistol and a good rag

Spanish clone of a Smith and Wesson. You see a lot of these. Unfortunately most of them are shit. They were okay when they were made, but years of rust and mistreatment has left them barely functional. I'd have a gunsmith look it over before doing anything else. And for fucks sake don't fire it. I had one blow up in my hand a few months back because modern ammo packs a bigger punch than they were built to handle.

almost bought one in .32-20 in an auction

nothing wrong with them really. They all had to pass the same proofs as the Belgians and those have decent enough reputations as working man's guns.

pro tip-put your finger nail on the whole were the firing pin comes through, then put it where light can shine on your nail. Your nail will reflect the light and allow you enough light to make out the details of the rifling.
it can be hard to make detail with a really bright light source.

Thank you i will do it that way the next time ill post it. When ill finish it and maybe cold blue it
