Im a soldier about to deploy in 2 or so weeks. Im missing a part of my equipment that is neccesarily to follow SOP and not get fucked up.
It's a strap that secures what's basically a long mag pouch to my IOTV. I have one, I need two. Im not sure what happened to the other one but I think it was lost when I turned to whole set up in for seeing. I asked my sergeant about this and he basically said im SOL and have to buy a new riflemans kit for 600+.
Does ANYONE know where I can get this strap? Pic related.

That's a 1" female plastic clip and a 1" nylon strap. Both of those parts should be available at JoAnn's Fabrics or a similar crafts store, you can just make it yourself.

You can jerry rig 550 cord with a loop and button to secure it to ur iotv, go back to CIF and say they fucked up and get a side piece from them, place an ad on Craigslist if your AD and see if a soldier will sell you one, buy just the TAP for $65 on amazon, make a buckle, or "aquire" one from another unit.

Take that strap into a nearby surplus store and look around for an identical one. Surplus stores near post usually have buckets of little ends and pieces from issued gear. Shouldn't be terribly expensive.
Ignore everybody telling you to improvise your own, because that's not really addressing the issue for having your gear ready to turn back in.
