General glock thread I'm thinking of picking one up in the near future I'd like one in 9mm or Ive heard you can swap out the 40 barrels to shoot 9 is like it to be a full sized pistol I have 2 sub compacts already

As someone who is new to firearms ownership, what exactly is wrong with Glocks? Are they legitimately bad guns, is it a hipster thing, or something in-between?

Ive shot great groups with glocks on my first mag. They are good guns, especially for carry.
Personally I don't like them because they don't feel substantial or very ergonomic to me... but then I am a metal frame Sig kind of guy. Im also more of a range junkie than EDC.
If I went polymer anything it would be Sig or one of the M&Ps

To sum it up a lot of people are put off by glocks rampant fan boys who bitch and moan about everything that isn't a glock.
They are legitimately bad guns, but to each their own. I enjoy both my sig and my glock for different reasons. Both have their merits and both have their cons as well.

I dunno why people talk so badly about ergos and trigger. Trigger is good enought to shoot fast and acurately and i shoot my g26 without extended grip nice and well.
All the "gourmet" complaints are out of place for this kknd of gun IMO.
