I see no foreseeable end to this, and in all likelihood, things like ARs and AKs will probably be completely illegal within the next 20 years. It will be a cold day in hell the day that firearms advocates can go back on the offensive.

The ownership of FA weapons and military explosives is almost analogous to civilian ownership of cannon 200 years ago--a phenomenon that was exceedingly uncommon for anyone except privateers.
