I really want this, they go for about 300-350 bucks. Should I do it? Has anyone fired one? I don't feel like dropping the 1500 for the real thing if it's just going to be a range toy

Is it the Norinco clone? If so, be very wary if you do purchase one, they have quite shoddy quality control but if you don't get a lemon they're fine albeit extremely dated shotguns.
>>
I've fondled one, it's not as good as the real deal but is adequate as a range toy.

It's the century arms one, the norinco is like 500 or so if i remember correctly. I couldn't find one locally and my local indoor range/shop can get me the century.

Look for the earlier IAC 1887s. They don't have the ugly ass roll mark and their manufacture was of significantly higher quality.

Appreciate the advice friend, it's pretty hard to find in shops locally and unfortunately I'm In orange County California so private party sales are a bitch.

IAC is a branch of Norinco. And yeah look for an earlier production one.
>>
>>30567068
I thought IAC was interstate arms importers? Aren't norinco and century two different Chinese manufacturers?

It's one of my favorite guns to shoot. Highly, HIGHLY recommended. Just don't be a bitch with the action. The last 1/8 inch of travel is the difference between proper extraction and ejection and a jam.

Thanks for the feedback man, I've read u have to really slam it to prevent fail to eject or failure to feed

Yup, you do. But it's a lot of fun. It's one of the few guns that makes all my range trips.

By the way did anyone take this into a smith to get its internals polished or whatever?

If everything works out this shotgun might find a permanent home in the back of my camaro
