I almost pulled the trigger on one of these and a PKM kit a while back. As a full auto these would be great. Turning an open bolt machine gun into a closed bolt semi auto usually makes for an unreliable design. Look at the semi auto FN 249 for instance. It was designed from the ground up as semi auto rather than modified. I think you'd be better off with an RPK kind of rifle since it's reliable as a semi auto and serves the same purpose as an RPD and a lot cheaper.

I looked at one of these for a month and found people were having various degrees of success with them. Military arms channel had an awful time, he gave up and returned his for a full refund after multiple warranty work did not fix the problem
