Looking forward to it. Read about him not long ago. Hazed like shit but becomes a hero and wins respect. People are going to pan it for being cliche and predictable but it's what actually happened.

"He was a company aid man when the 1st Battalion assaulted a jagged escarpment 400 feet [120 m] high. As our troops gained the summit, a heavy concentration of artillery, mortar and machinegun fire crashed into them, inflicting approximately 75 casualties and driving the others back. Pfc. Doss refused to seek cover and remained in the fire-swept area with the many stricken, carrying all 75 casualties one-by-one to the edge of the escarpment and there lowering them on a rope-supported litter down the face of a cliff to friendly hands."
Jesus man.

A man among men.
>gets shot by a sniper
>splints his fractured arm with a rifle stock
>keeps saving his friends
>>30565305
read all that and he kept going saving his comrades. Like the part where he sees another guy hurt more and jumps off the litter and says take him instead.

They probably just don't want to make all the reviews about DA JOOS
Love Mel stuff. One of the most talented individuals in Hollywood. Shame the way his name has been dragged through the mud in recent years.
Never heard of Doss until now but God damn. Would really like to see this movie now.
