Chicoms type56 chest rigs are good m8
You just need to stretch the canvas out

Sizing runs fine I could wear them even when I was a ham planet.

I can wear them now with plates + balcs

For a chicom, it's literally a strap that you tie, unless you're like everyone else that owns one, and spent $0.75 at Wal-Mart and bought a plastic buckle. Can fit anywhere from xxxs to 3-5XL.

These chest rigs will also hold AR mags right? Are they comfortable as well and durable under regular use?
>>
On the subject of chest rigs. Are there any chest rigs for say, a mosin nagant? Or SKS, since they both use stripper clips.
>>
>>30550885
nice VZ m8
>>
>>30550983
Chinese have one for SKS clips, also have one for Mosin clips, but it's more uncommon
>>
>>30550522
SOE Micro AK rig? $100 might be a stretch for a very strict budget but it's great value.

Anything less than that, chicom rig everyone else has suggested.
>>
>>30550959
>will hold AR mags
The mags will sink, wouldn't recommend it. If you need to get something for AR mags then an ALICE rig or surplus FLC with mag pouches

>comfortable
Not really, but they work

>durable
Yes.

>>30550983
When they hold clips or chargers then they're just bandoliers.

>>
>>30551106
Just stuff socks im the bottom or use magpuls/ranger plates for ar mags

I have a gucci chest rig and I find it really hard to justify not just using my type 83 rig.

Same
I've owned and tried LBT, Blackhawk, AWS, blue force,Arktis, mayflower, surplus of all shapes and sizes, all types of LBEs and Chestrigs, and I still got back to the Chicoms

I have a Type 63 Chinese chest rig and it seems to be pretty excellent for STANAG mags, both 20 and 30 rounders. No complaints here.

its a little more expensive than a Chicom or SADF M83 but I think it is worth it

git gud mind doesn't bother me.

but AWS makes a copy pic related
762tactical also has a version of the Chicom.

and there a ton of companies that will mod off the hoop and toggles and replace it with velcro or snaps or even ALICE buckles if you wish.

>>30554174
Yeah I just like the type 56 for the AR mags more type 63 for my battle rifle mags.

Like everyone else suggested, Chicom rigs are good. I like the 4 mag pouch models vs the 3. Another alternative would be the old Russian Lifchik rigs from the Afghan war. One big improvement was the leather pull tabs vs the little wooden toggles. Price is probably a great deal more though. I paid $40 for one years ago. I'm sure the price as increased a fair sum, as all the Russian surplus seems to be rising. Another option, while not really a chest rig, would be the vests the Russians wore with integrated mag pouches. I used to know what they were called, but can't remember for the life of me. I'm sure someone else here will know.

Any place to get a surplus chest rig that fits G3 mags?
>>

Very good for the price.

>inb4 bandwagon memers shit talk it because it's hurr condor

It's pretty great for the price and will hold ar mags way better than a fucking chicom
>>
>>30555904
Chicom type 63 are based for battle rifles.
