Britfag here, it makes little difference, most combat roles have been open to women for years, many have tried to join the parachute regiment, none have yet passed, same with all SF training, which have allowed women to try for 23 SAS (reserves) for several years, the Royal Navy opened up combat roles to women, and so far only three have managed to conplete the Royal marine commando course.
The question isn't wether or not they were allowed in the first place, but will they be held to a lower physical standard in training? If so, then the whole purpose of equality among genders in the military is trashed, as it's not equality if Recruit A has to March 15 miles with 46kg in 2:50 and Recruit B has to March 15 miles with 25kg in 2:50.
