Also just picked up this Glock 19 yesterday. I've got a Raven Vanguard 2 for it, probably picking up a CompTac Minotaur, but for OWB I'm thinking about going Raven+light.

I just can't decide between the XC1 or X300.

Wait, people use level 3 retention for competition up there? That's fucking weird. Most USPSA holsters are glorified gun buckets.

Big thanks to everyone who suggested AWS OCPC. Ordered mine and asked if they could get it to me before the weekend when I leave country; they literally made me a medium carrier while they were in the middle of a production run of a different size, had one of their gives drive it from the workshop to the shipping company and get it to me today. Sure I paid for some quicker shipping but still didn't spend as much as I intended for the same shit.

Product and stitching looks good for the short time I've had it. Thanks for the recommendation /k/omrades

We used ceramic plates in the Navy and the things got horribly abused. Like stuffed in a bag of random stuff, dragged around and ratchet-strapped to the deck of the torpedo room. They got dropped, bumped into stuff, stored badly and we had them for years before we replaced them with new ones because thats how the budget works and we never broke any of them.

You need to do something pretty ridiculous to a plate to actually crack it.

>Sig SP2022 in Alice belt
Yes! I've been trying to figure out which fucking Bianchi holster I need for the SP2022, but have never actually been able to find out, not even on their own damn site.

Which holster is that, and is it as well made as the M-12 holsters? Also, is that a matching mag pouch next to the holster?

If you don't mind, would you mind just listing off what you have there, as far as the ALICE belt?
>>
>>30550440
Not him, bit it's the Bianchi commercial version of the M12. Honestly, for a full size pistol, the M12 is good enough, the thumb snap really helps out when you don't want to deal with the flap.

$30 for a NOS surplus made by Weckworth or Cathay isn't bad for a beater holster
>>
>>30550567
You must not be aware that the M-12 ONLY fits the M9/92SF. The SP2022 literally WILL NOT fit in an M-12, the slide and rest of the gun is just too thick. I know this much from experience. That's I'm asking WHICH Bianchi holster it is; the UM-84, the UM-92, etc. I need to know which model the SP2022 fits in.
>>
>>30550203
Can you call her back and see when they're going to actually make mine?

>>30550440

It's the UM92, exact same thing as an M-12 but with a trigger shield for extra retention and available in multiple sizes. The double Mag pouch is the Bianchi M1025, the single is the USGI alice pouch. The SP2022 will fit in an M12, you just have to shove it in there and leave it sit for a few days until the foam conforms to the shape of the pistol. After it's broken-in it fits quite nicely.
>>
>>30551209
>SP2022 fits in the M12
No shit? I tried to fit it with an M12 at my local surplus store, and that's when I found out it wouldn't fit. But you say you can just cram it in and after a few days it functions fine? Is that your SP2022 in the M12?

If I remember right they're going for like $35ish at my local store, is that a decent price for something that needs to be really broken in, or would you recommend just putting the money down for a UM92?
>>
>>30551323

Yes, M12's are made with closed cell foam, some come with a little plastic form that vaguely replicates the shape of an M9 but with use they'll break in to fit most pistols. It should also be mentioned that M12's are made by a bunch of different manufacturers so there's bound to be some variation in size. The M12 on the M13 harness in the last picture is slightly larger and looser than the M12 that the SP2022 is in. It was made by Hill Country Leather and also had the plastic form when I got it.

>want to get into some gear queer shit and get a nice AR/AK/SCAR
>with the way things are going with the upcoming election and local laws all over the country in upheaval I'm considering taking a 5-6 grand personal loan to get everything at once, rifle, optic, gear, plates, mags, etc before it's too late
Is this a bad idea? I own my car, I have decent credit, work is steady, I can easily make the payments and have plenty left over as a safety net. Normally I'd buy bits and pieces each month and such but I fear if I do that for this then it will be too late by the time I have it all.

no don't do that, because you probably don't know exactly what you want in each item and you'll end up with gear you don't want later if you buy it all in a rush.
don't worry about the inane fear mongering, be sure of what you actually need and choose your purchases carefully.

fight light is designed to be lightweight, which it is, but it wears out like 3x as fast as normal stuff. I had the fight light belt and some of their pouches. you know that really thin nylon they use to cover up soft armor inserts? they put that stuff behind the cordura nylon and they use cheap velcro. doesn't last for shit and nobody has time for that.

and you have an admin pouch in your list, for starters. do you even have plates?

What's wrong with an admin pouch, isn't it just a place to stick maps and shit you don't need right fucking away but would be annoying to dig in a pack for? I was going to get plates alongside all of that, but I need to look more into what size I need and what brands are good.

Chicken wing is one of the best offhand stances for rifle caliber shooting. The only reason we stopped using it in the military is because it's a side-face stance so it makes body armor pointless.

I have some TT light stuff and i prefer it lighter. But the pouches I have are the dump pouch and a flash bang pouch (Enola gay) for a battle belt. They use buckles instead of the Velcro so it's not as hard on the material. I use kydex for the holster and mag pouches. Wouldn't recommend the light mag pouches.

Hi boys. Been carrying my P320 carry 9mm for a few months now. Been using a Bravo Concealment DOS holster. I could not use the clips that came with it, so I bought soft loops for it. I also switched to only one loop, and it rides nice and deep. I carry at the 12 oclock.

While it sounds awfully painful, it is the only way I can appendix carry comfortably. I can sit, squat, drive, walk and remain fairly concealed with minimal printing. I'm pretty fit, so I don't have any fat to absorb the print of the gun. Anyway, will share some pics.. It's super comfy for me, and I recommend everyone experiment. I've also done a lot of range time with this, and have found it to be extremely comfortable as far as appenix draw goes.

no amount of range time will stop a bullet from killing your ass. So buy some reasonably nice plates (a set will run you less than a fucking glock) and then go train with your CCW or whatever. >>30563168
You assume that you'll ever actually be shot at, and that you'll have your armor around for that occasion. That's the problem. I can carry a gun 90% of the time I leave the house, and resolve conflicts with it even if I'm not shot at. A plate carrier isn't going to be carried on your person often, and will only help in a conflict where you're being shot anyway. It's basically just for the idea of some SHTF/WORL/Race war/extreme home invasion/flavor of the month.
>>
>>30563217
Not personally, but a lot of hunters by me have been shot at. Some people are glove on nose retarded and send lead at fellow hunters without realizing it. A few wear PCs ubder their vests. Cut slits in their saftey vests to grab mags and they are golden.
>>
>>30563257
Again, I believe strongly in training with CCW. If anything gear is last priority to me. Fitness, then pistol, then combatives/H2H, then long-gun/gearfag shit. Gear is not as expensive as people make it sound, and someone who buys a tenth pistol exclusively for range use is not any different from someone who is buying plates.
>>
It's whatever for reservists buying gear.

I once sold all my gear I accumulated over my service in the muhreens to some reservist middle-aged grunt wannabe for 1500 and I got all that shit at used milsurp stores for around 600 or less.

Fucking dumb reservists kek.
>>
>>30563275
It's ultimately your own money, my point is just that it depends on how likely you perceive the threat to be. For someone who doesn't see themselves being shot at in the future it's just something to gather dust, whereas that tenth range toy will get even a little bit of use. I also think it's fair to say that the fun of collecting and setting up gear is value on its own for some plate buyers.
