There is LITERALLY no way for you to make a gun on your own without a 3d printer.

Why haven't you bought a 3d printer and started to use the Liberatorâ„¢ pistol yet?
>>
>>30544055
Because guns are cheaper then 3d printers...
>>
I agree, that's why I'm going to 3d print myself a Sten.

You mean produce as many guns as you want for, at most, $10 worth of plastic each?

holy shit dude your post is either full troll or horribly misinformed.
>>
>>30545131
oh yeah and the guns are capable of firing for many shots, at least 10, and you can print multiple barrels which is the part that wears out. For its purpose (resistance, shoot a guy and run, shoot a guy and take his gun) it's enough
>>
>>30544055
Other than wanting a fun that will work and last for more than a handful of shots.

>>

then you spend 15 minutes learning to use the thing, after which you go do something else for a few hours while it prints
and now you have a 3D printer
>>
>>30545142
You do realize like 80% of the posters of this board live in America, a country where even a kid can walk out and buy a throwaway shooter for $200?
>>
>>30544066
This is true, out of all the guns I've bought, my printer cost more than all of them, and I only spent $450 with shipping.
>>
I know this is a troll thread, but there have been firearms made in prison cells. There's also a video of someone who made a single-shot from stuff purchasable past airport security.

That is why gun control in general is a fool's errand. A gun is just a tube that propels an object via pressure. You'd have to ban tubes.

Firearms are simple as fuck and you can easily put one together using basic hand tools and standardized material from your local hardware store.

Use the most convenient manufacturing process at your disposal on a component by component basis.

The Liberator was just a proof of concept to prove that any component CAN be manufactured via 3D printing. The intention was never to make it seem like 3D printing is the best process for any given component.

A Von Neumann probe is a hypothetical space probe. The proposed machine is capable of harvesting resources from stuff like asteroids that it finds and building exact copies of itself. Then the copy and the original fly off in different directions to find more asteroids and in turn build more copies. The rate of exploration grows exponentially as more probes are built.

In a nightmare scenario, the probes could be like a plague of locusts eating everything in their path to build more probes until nothing but probes are left.

A von neumann gun would be a gun that is capable of autonomously building more copies of itself. An exponentially growing pile of guns.

Damn, sounds like nothing really wrong with the truck.

You could probably do the speed sensor on your own, i changed my left rear one on my 1999 Honda crv, it wasn't too bad. Check service manual.

Depending on the part of the system that got damaged, the exhaust can be done pretty easily. You can even nigger rig some sheet metal to it like i had to for a 97 subaru my friend owns. It was just a hole in the pipe right after the cat, so i riveted sheet metal around the hole.

Last ones weird, sure it's the computer and not the spark plugs? Remove the plugs and clean the tips, or if you have a tester check each one. Though 8 is a pain to do, unless you have a VEEE six.

If it's not plugs, you may wanna look at the distributor.

If it's a random cylinder each time, i would guess something up before the distributor could be acting funny, but if it's just one, i would think it's something after.

Tires aren't hard to replace on your own, they're hard to align and balance. I wish i had a tire machine, i've done tires by hand on my CRV cos i'm poor, but a tire machine would be sweet.

I fucking love trucks, and good luck with yours.
>>
>>30544055
Because the guns I already have are better and last much longer that a plastic piece of garbage
And even if I needed to make a gun I can just make one out of metal. I know where to find a tutorial to make a full-auto machine pistol out of sheet metal.

Besides, even though you can make a bunch of these things, I'm not a fucking pirate who carries 6-8 pistols at a time.

Your plastic toy shoots one cartridge. My rifle can take magazines that fire 100.
>>
>>30554237
>You could probably do the speed sensor on your own, i changed my left rear one on my 1999 Honda crv, it wasn't too bad. Check service manual.

The sensor itself probably isn't bad, it just keeps getting knocked about by the washboard roads I drive on.

>Depending on the part of the system that got damaged, the exhaust can be done pretty easily. You can even nigger rig some sheet metal to it like i had to for a 97 subaru my friend owns. It was just a hole in the pipe right after the cat, so i riveted sheet metal around the hole.

It's like some jackwad shot a puntgun full of buckshot down the length of the exhaust, I could totally fix it if I had a welder on hand, not gonna buy a harbor freight special though just to get it fixed.... I still have no clue how I didn't get a punctured fuel tank or anything worse out of the situation.

>Last ones weird, sure it's the computer and not the spark plugs? Remove the plugs and clean the tips, or if you have a tester check each one. Though 8 is a pain to do, unless you have a VEEE six.

8, pulled a code that was indicating it was a computer fault, the coils and distributor are all relatively new (less than 12 thousand miles on them) but the plugs could be acting weird. IIRC they're around 60k now, I'd have to call my old shop to pull their record on what mileage I had those changed out on.

>Tires aren't hard to replace on your own, they're hard to align and balance. I wish i had a tire machine, i've done tires by hand on my CRV cos i'm poor, but a tire machine would be sweet.

Been there, done that, honestly got sick of by hand tire changes, that and I still have to buy the fuckers and no one seems to have r17s in stock. (I've checked stores in two separate states since I'm near the border)

That would be Khyber Pass in Pakistan IIRC.

(I'm probably wrong, somebody correct me.)

And they aren't factory quality because the metal they use is garbage.

Other than that they're 1 for 1 replicas.

>All these people shilling 3D printers but have probably never used one

Any 3D printer that costs under $1000 dollars will be inaccurate and use poor materials.

Anything above $1000 might work if you know what you're doing and can find the right printer for your purpose.

Reminder that Cody Wilson used an industrial 3D printer for his projects. Those printers cost like 100,000 dollars.

I do have a printer. $1600 split between 4 people (we made a few hundred back selling prints to a company for trade show wankery). It wouldn't be my first choice for making guns, I'd get a drill press and make a Luty, but it still makes some neat shit. Speaking of, using a 3d printer I could make mags, grips, maybe even the lower for a Luty. A blowback garage gun based on an AR lower would be sweet since there are already a ton of printable models (lowers, grips, stocks) available.

Most of the hobbyists designing the new 3d printed guns have sub-$2000 so it's not impossible. Still impractical.

>have funny looking rifle
>open buttstock
>bunch of weird complex parts inside
>plug rifle into power source
>insert raw materials
>automated 3d print program makes parts
>assemble parts into new rifle

Certain parts of the rifle!printer would be difficult to produce now but the design could include some common hardware store items. Buying just one could eventually equip an army given enough time and resources.

Hell, even a $300 is good. Don't go Makerbot, use Monoprice or a cheap Chinese printer. Monoprice uses the exact same designs as Makerbot, check out their older printers.
>>
>>30558047
A $300 Monoprice printer can do all you want. You just need to get the settings right

>Any 3D printer that costs under $1000 dollars will be inaccurate and use poor materials.

You ever actually use a 3D printer? You can use those weedwhacker strings to get good strong plastic. That's what you have to use, at minimum. I believe they're Nylon.

Want to use metal? Fine, go spend hundreds of thousands. I don't care. Or build one yourself.

The original liberator's purpose was to be dropped over occupied countries, and you take your single-shot gun up to a soldier, put it in his chest, pull the trigger, and take HIS gun.

If we lived in an innovative country there would be 3d printing shops set up that would print whatever for you. Sadly 40 year olds are still working entry level programming jobs instead
