Hey /k/,
A couple months ago I dumped some routines and pages from my brothers training books (Pic related). Thread generated a lot of interest so I thought I would start it up again, dump some more stuff, and answer questions.
I just finished my bachelors in exercise physiology, my personal trainers certification, my certified strength and conditioning coach certification, and am now working with my brother at his gym. Older bro was a marine and we work with a lot of people interested in getting into shape for military service.
Since I'm done with school and have A LOT more time on my hands I was thinking of making this thread a semi-reoccurring thing in order to help people who are interested maximizing their physical capabilities in a military style of training. If enough people are interested and the mods don't shoot this down I am more than willing to generate some non-meme (/fit/...) Info graphics / content as well as keep the threads up to answer questions.
So.../kfit/ general :^)
That is beautiful handwriting, no homo. Your brother should have been a scribe.

I'd legit die if i tried to do that, not fatass just really out of shape.

You would be surprised how fast muscular endurance gains accumulate...Most anyone can jump from <20 push-ups to ~50 in about a month.

Ya, we have remarkably similar handwriting and I get that all the time. I had a chick sophomore year ask me to make a template for her wedding invitations.

Are you meant to do all ABCD on lift days, or is it AxBxCxDx?
>>30537997
Also this, no homo.

This guy has the right idea -- let's all become Active Shooters!
This is the basic "Jack of all Trades" routine template we recommend to everyone interested in increasing all areas of physical performance.
>>30538117
This is the "optimal" and "recommended" training schedule for the jack of all trades routine above.
99% of the time it is modified for individual schedules as most people do not have schedule that allows for 7 training days a week and 2-a-days on some days.

>tfw could only do 20 pushups a week ago
>two days later increased to 31
>Now I manage to do 40
Feels good. What are the recommended stretches for upper, core and lower?
>>30538091
AxBxCxDx repeat
>>30538186
There are basic stretching routines out there that you could do, but I find them to be very boring and tedious. Doing the basic yoga routine in>>30538117 will take care of all of your general flexibility and mobility needs. All of the positions (asanas) are easily researched on Google. I hold each position for a 3 deep breath count.
However, if you have a problem area, such as really tight hamstrings I would recommend adding static stretches specific to that muscle.

Thoughts on roids?

It's a personal choice. My personal view is that of Smelly from the documentary "Bigger, Faster, Stronger"
>If you have been training in your sport or profession for over a decade and have reached the level of elite in your chosen field then it is something to consider. If you want to be at the world class level in something and aren't willing to do anything and everything (steroids...) in order to achieve your dream then maybe you don't have what it takes to be a champion.
From a training standpoint in regards to performance in physical fitness as it applies to the military...don't. If you do not know why this is, research more into what anabolic steroids do in/for your body.
