ill start
Smith and Wesson model 15 1959
1st. have it reparkerized(any ideas on a color?)
2nd. a new cylinder/frame stud
3rd. new uprgrade parts
4th. buy a extra new cylinder and have it converted to 9mm/.380/.32/
5th. maybe have it converted to .357 mag.
what do you guys think? do your worst.

there is nothing wrong with .38 special thats why im being a extra cylinder. Make the gun the ultimate SHTF gun.
also the gun was lubed with fucking axle grease before i got it.

The throat/cylinder length is different between Smith's 38's and 357s. On a 357 the cylinder is longer and the throat shorter. So buying a 357 cylinder won't fit without you fucking with it or the throat(both highly inadvisable) also just rechambering a 38spcl cylinder is a bad idea since it is a weaker steel than the 357 cylinders(or at least less dense?) I had a model 10 and 13 and their cylinders were significantly different in terms of size and mass. Also, non magnum Smith's frames are prone to stretching when using high power loads they aren't meant for(model 25 in 45lc has a known history of doing it with modern defense loadings or stout reloads.)
TL;DR just clean it up and replace the parts that need replacing, don't rechamber it.

Just got this. Was planning on replacing the buttplate and front bead, since those are missing, having the barrel cut down 2"-3", and getting a mag tube extension.

if your willing to pay for tax stamp for SBS. A Clyde Barrow cut down with an adjusted sling so it will go under the shoulder.
