I used an Anderson jig because at the time they had a deal going on.
I used a really cheap drill press I bought at Harbor Freight, and I bought a router but it didn't work with the jig setup.
I had a vice, but not a proper one.
In hindsight, I know that you really, really shouldn't skimp on tools and stuff. Spend the extra money, get a good jig (80%'s comes with a plate for a router, for instance), and get a good press. It will cost a lot, but it'll come out looking a lot nicer than mine, and save a lot of time in the process.
Mine, baring that screw up, would have been functional, as far as I can tell. It's just freaking hideous.
