The reality is buying things is far easier than gaining skill. His business is promoting products so that people buy them. If he said "carry any quality gun and don't buy any others until you are a Grand Master qualified IPSC shooter" he wouldn't make money. Nor would anyone watch him as that's not what consumers wish to hear.
The narrow and rocky mountain road isn't the most traveled one but I guarantee you'll be in better shape at the end than the guy who road his horse on an established road.

There's this guy called Gurney there that's spent the last eight years exclusively selling used guns, I think if you go on BUD'S GUN SHOP'S website, he's got his picture up there). So they gave me this gun, and if you ever want a good deal on a used firearm, because used firearms are perfectly fine, I recommend you go to BUD'S GUN SHOP. We'll be shooting ammo provided by the folks over at FEDERAL today, and they have this new cartridge out...

most YouTube gun reviewers do this. They continually change their carry gun to add variety to the channel and allow for more videos. If someone only carried a sig p220 every month of every year they wouldn't be able to post as many videos. Of course he could just review the gun but then he would be putting in the same amount of personal interest and investment had he made it his carry gun.
