Seeing other people talk about buying/looking for M1 Garands has kinda sparked a fire in my belly for one. The closest store to me has one on sale for to $1350. For that much money it got me thinking if the M1 Garand actually worth it? As in fun to shoot.
Interested if M1 Garand owners regret buying one.

I had the chance to get one for $850 with a meh bore. I wouldn't say it was decent but it was enough to shoot with.

The guy at the store said it was in excellent condition with a new Criterion barrel. So I don't know if 500 bucks more is actually worth it.

If the bore is in good condition that sounds like a good price. Make sure you check it over yourself before you buy though.

Reading other forums, people have said order from the Garand Guy. Saying he builds them in great condition and has great customer service. Anyone have any experience buying from him?
Idk of the CMP still has any. But I got a 1943 springfield garand sent to my door for $550. God bless America.
my dad bought a M1 garand for $50 wayy back in the day.
prices sure have increased.

How'd you get it sent to your door?

He was part of a CMP club. If you do that then buy a gun from CMP then you can have them shipped straight to you, no FFL required.

Never sell it.
Europoor here, this summer I'm going to add a m1 garand to my gun safe, I'm getting it for 1300€, can't wait to put holes in paper targets with this beast
is there any sort of guess to how long before CMP resumes taking Garand orders? It's only been 2 months, I know.

Picked up an early 1944 Springfield M1 for $800 a couple years ago. No regrets. Let freedom PING!
How rare are sniper garands?

I have two. They're sexy as fuck. Get a Garand gear gas block and never look back

I chose a hakim over the garand for a few reasons.
>complicated takedown
>clips
>op rod gets fucked if your 30 dollar part from some dude online doesnt work
Those were my biggest gripes. Now compare that with a hakim which has an integrated adjestable gas block and just looks sexier and the choice is clear.
I bought my garand for $950 in the DPRKalifornia just a couple weeks ago. Its in pretty good shape too

>tfw didn't do it even though I had plenty of money saved up
>tfw still don't have one
