How long before armored and augmented fursuits are a thing?
If you come near me in a fursuit you'd better have some fucking armor. Look into flame-retardant materials too.

People are arguing for an armored fur suit with some decently feasible ideas to include. But they're all retarded because the concern then remains the same as it would pertain to wearing a fur suit vs normal fucking clothing. If you're going to put everything you need to become the ultimate warfighter in a suit, it sure as shit shouldn't be a fur suit.

What is the problem with a fursuit though? If you already have a system in place to collect and dissipate your metabolic heat output what difference does it make what your outerwear looks like?
Plus you could use the muzzle for hiding air filter cartridges in a gas mask system. And you would have the benefits of insulation in cold weather environments. Also the insulation would benefit the temperature management system in environments warmer than body temperature as it would prevent environmental heat from leaching inside.
