What does everyone think? I have the p238 Extreme now & have no real complaints w it. But its my carry gun & I noticed they managed to make the Kimber a couple ounces lighter, and every little bit helps imo. Is it worth it?

Not for a .380
>>
>>30507383
I mean as far as weight. I like as light of a carry as I can get, while still being a decent round.

>Kimber anything

Meaning?
>>
>>30507373
What was going on in your head when picked that color combo?
>>
Kimbers have feeding and ejection problems with self defense rounds. Not every one, but I have seen 4 of the minis with that problem. So I don't trust the 380 kimber. I do love my p938, and I would have a 238 but my hands a way to big.

they look nice as Kimbers tend to do, but also have a reputation for having problems.

Haven't had any issues with mine yet. I've got probably 500 rounds down the tube and really like it. Whenever I go out I usually just throw it in my pocket. Never owned a p238, but I can't sing the praises of the kimber micro enough. Mines been absolutely fantastic

Great sights too

If you already have one just keep it. The only reason I bought the kimber over the sig is because the kimber has smoother edges (less hangup on clothes etc) and feels better in the hand. But that's personal preference.

That's what I'm thinking. I literally have zero complaints w my 238. I rarely clean it & its a god damn champion w anything I put in it. Its like a mini combat pistol & I'd have no problems taking it to a fight. I just didn't know if there was anything like it that was a bit lighter.

So if I want a mini 1911, its basically the Kimber, Sig or the Colt Mustang?? I tried the Colt & didn't like the way it felt (a bit cheap) and all the grips were way too wide for me.

how did the Colt feel cheap?
>>
>>30507762
If you want a mini 1911 (based on external controls, not function) yeah those are your options.

There really is no huge advantage of one over the other aside from feel. The fit is absolutely great on my kimber, maybe it's different on the sig or colt idk. But my understanding is they're all very similar firearms and the only differences are price and preference. Although I will say the only mustang I ever finger fucked had one hell of a rattle

Also the mustang comes in a polymer frame if you want it

Maybe cheap isn't the word. I'd def own one. But it just felt unrefined compared to the Sig.
>>
i have one of the Colts coming, i hope i get a good one..
>>
>>30507890
Which one exactly? Also, what made you choose the Colt?
>>
>>30507373
No. If 2oz is that much of a burden take a piss before you go out. Weight alleviated.
>>
>>30507373
Sig.

It's amazing how everyone can now make a decent production 1911 or 1911 inspired SAO handgun... Except for Kimber.
>>

And charges up the ass for the pleasure. Who's their market exactly??
>>
>>30507635
If I had money to burn I'd get one of those and get New Retro Wave engraved on the slide.

the standard aluminum frame version.
i just couldn't learn to like the looks of the Sig, even though the steel frame version really tempted me.

i did like the looks of the Kimber but it seemed like Colt has a better reputation. also the plastic mainspring housing and trigger on the Sig and i believe the Kimber too, had something to do with it.

hopefully i can find some nice checkered wood grips for it, like these. but no luck yet.

>Although I will say the only mustang I ever finger fucked had one hell of a rattle

Yeah that sounds like Colt all fucking right, top dollar for third-world fitting.
>>
I prefer the feel of the Kimber Micro over the Sig p238. The trigger and the slide release just like my hands a lot more.
