Trying to decide between a couple of weapon lights

I just don't care enough about a light to spend the money on a surefire. Then again there are surefire lights like the GX2 which are much less expensive. Could they be used in this capacity? Can you attach a switch to them?
So is it just prerequisite to look like you work at the dump and collect anime to open carry

Streamlight is usually gtg. The inforce lights can crack, look it up. Yes, you can use a surefire g2x on a rifle, no you can't attach a pressure pad to them.
Personally, I'd go for the streamlight or get a used surefire 6P and a malkoff led drop-in.
