This is why we have two fucking political parties (in the states anyway) because no one believes that they can change that shit, it's way too late, so why not vote for the lesser of the too evils? Out of the frying pan and into the fire, I say. Either you live with the idea that your own beliefs will always and forever be influenced (or even created) by the press and the popular opinion and roll with it, or you make the decision to form your own fucking beliefs.

That's not even true, look what happened to the harry potter generation. These things age with the group who is the primary user. The first movie was some little kiddie ha ha magical world movie. The last one was full of death, darkness, and extremely strong tones of evil vs good, morals vs conscious, etc.
The same shit happened to countless other things. If it wasn't for the new kids coming and most of the old fuckers out growing this place in the last decade since it's been around, it has changed dramatically.
Not in any "it was better before" sense cuz it was always shit, but it is definitely different.
