You know what we're living in right now? It's late 1920s Germany. The Left pushed the pendulum as far as they possibly could and now, it's swinging back with a vengeance. And if it only served to end liberal retardation, I'd be fine with it. But the same thing that happened to Germany will happen to us. We're going to enthusiastically kick out all the fuzzyheaded liberals, support some hardcore conservatives and then watch as they create an empire that will end with this nation in fucking ashes. All the liberals will come back and we'll get cucked just like Germany.

Fuck it all.

You can't have a pistol grip or thumbhole stock.

So something like a Garand or M-14 style rifle were built with a "traditional" style stock. However, the AR-15 is inherently designed with a pistol grip in mind. The way the upper mates to the the lower for the buffer tube to function forces the geometry to be a certain way. Thus these unholy and ugly abortions of rifles.

Rifles like the Ares SCR attempt to give the functionality of an AR-15 platform in a redesigned package making it cuck compliant. However these rifles use proprietary parts so for people to be able to get the 1337 uppers and such that makes their pee pees hard they get an abortion of a lower. Then they buy an extra pistol grip and "never" put it on the rifle so that when SHTF and the race wars start and Obama takes control of the government they can switch out the abortion grip with a pistol grip to fight for freedom.

Like those people who use an "arm brace" with their SBR to make it a "pistol".

Basically these lowers are a "way around" the law instead of actually fighting the law, because fighting the law is hard.
>>
>>30483398
Dude, it's not. It might be in the future, but the bullet button change has zero implications for pistol grips or forward grips.

>>
>>30482973

>>
>>30483439
>but the bullet button change has zero implications for pistol grips or forward grips.

Yeah it does. The CA awb was written such that you weren't allowed to have a semi auto with a detachable magazine and any of the "evil" features like pistol grips etc. Use of a BB used to count as a "fixed magazine" but now it's not allowed, so you either have to go featureless, or fix the magazine more permanently.
>>
>>30483970
It's true, I grew up in northern CA and out on the rifle ranges I went to (2+hrs drive from SF) there was massive noncompliance and even the sheriffs didn't seem to care/notice.

The thing is you could always legally order "spare parts kits" for full capacity magazines, even if they were the entire fucking magazine, and changing a bullet button to a regular mag release takes seconds. The CA DOJ really doesn't seem to care about enforcing the AWB, they frequently published memos about how parts kits were legal, the bullet button was kosher, etc.
>>
>>30483543
You can register your bullet button equipped AR as an assault weapon if you legally purchased it before the new ban, but they might try to confiscate it later. The unknown question there is whether or not you can legally swap out your bullet button for a standard mag release now that it's a registered "assault weapon" either way. My guess is probably.

More than 10rd mags have been illegal for decades in CA but grandfathered ones *were* legal, but possession was just banned and you either have to turn them in or sell them out of state. My guess is there will be a 0% compliance rate, like there was when LA banned full cap mags.

Fuck man, so many CA gun owners ignorant about these laws until after they passed when they could've been calling their reps.

Or they're purposely letting it degrade until the supreme court has to intervene. That said, most california reps would have still voted in favor of this legislation

Probably the most confusing thing was that two laws regarding "bullet button" firearms had been signed into law. I don't know the difference between the two if any but that is certainly confusing

Yes, you can register your pre-ban rifle as an assault rifle if it has the bullet button.

But the state has LITERALLY just now put out a confiscation order on all mags over ten rounds. You HAVE to turn in any magazines over ten rounds in the state of California. No reimbursment, no grandfathering, fuck you. If you don't turn in such magazines then you can go to jail for a year.

You really think that California won't do the same to your AR-15? Right now doesn't matter if you have one 30 round mag or 1,000, fuck you turn them in. They WILL confiscate your "assault weapons" I guran-god-damn-tee you that.

Better to have an ugly rifle you can keep than the prettiest 10,000 dollar rifle that the government will just melt down.

And let me just say, this is YOUR fault California. Fucking vote you idiots.

People did complain that the trigger was rather crappy in the first generation of the rifle.

Ares actually did a cool thing and not only fixed the trigger on their second generation of the SCR but also offered to fix the trigger for those that bought the first gen rifles.

Rangemaster at my range was an old vet on deaths door who thought it was funny how "the young guys love them black guns." Even though cops used the range sometimes, they always kept to themselves.

I don't even live there anymore you illiterate flyover shit. The point is these laws are not stopping anyone with half a brain from getting guns.

Poor California

Johnson and his VP Weld both discussed gun control (Weld being a huge advocate for it) saddens me that the party that wants liberty is pushing to restrict it.

I've seen the lower go for 500. Buying an AR upper separately should cut the price a tad no?

Germany only lost because of America though, and America can not lose to itself so we have nothing to worry about.

>but rifles are used in way more rebellions.
Hence the reason they are so obsessed with "assault rifles" despite the tiny percentage of crimes they are actually used in.
Which is alarming in itself: if they're so worried about armed rebellion, what the hell are they planning that they expect to ignite one?
>>
>>30486271
I'd rather just buy the whole damn rifle myself but separate purchases would probably be cheaper, yeah.
I'm probably gonna buy new furniture for the thing anyways so I suppose buying the upper and lower separate isn't gonna change much.

If having to live in California, is it not best to just get a shotgun and a revolver now + stock up while one can?

On if it was free.

>>30479733
So, noguns bong here, why can't they put the stock over the buffer tube? It'd seem like it'd be easier to use or at least look less disgusting.

What kind of thought process would you have to have to think banning pistol grips would do anything to crime.

I'm sure they could if the manufacturers weren't lazy cucks and bothered to put some effort into their product.
