I'm looking for a new .22 rifle or pistol, either bolt-action, lever action, or single action.

I already have a 10/22, and wanted something that was arguably more fun.

I was debating between
>Uberti Silver Boy
>Uberti Cattleman .22
>Henry Golden Boy
>Ruger American Rimfire wood
>Ruger Single Six/Single 10
>Taylor's & Co. Cattleman
>CZ 455/FS or American Combo
>>
Obligatory Savage MkII recommendation.

I'd like to keep it without optics. Otherwise I'd put the Mk. II FVSR on here.

hove one. hate it. the gun its self is great if you dont need irons but the mags are complete shit. they fail and fail and fail. out of the 5 i bought, 5 of them wont function after about 50 rounds.

>>30471422
>Ruger American Rimfire
id say a 10/22 would be more fun overall until you add a can to the bolt gun
>>
>>30472279
Were they factory mags? I haven't had a failure yet. If I could change one thing I would make it tube fed.
>>
>>30472372
all brand new out of the box. i need to take pliers and bend the lips back down or the boolits will just fly out kinda like that calico webm. no regrets with the ruger tho.
>>
>>30472279
I actually have a custom 10/22 I built, but I don't find it nearly as fun as a manual action rifle. I fired my friend's American in .22 WMR and loved it, but from playing FNV I've been craving cowboy guns more and more.
>>
get a Henry and don't look back i put a fixed x4 on mine and its one of my favorite plinkers
>>
>>30472522
My concern with Henry is the zinc alloy (Zamak-3) recievers.

Almost every other gun listed has steel or aluminum recievers, but the Henry is the only one with potmetal.

>>30472508
I know that feel.
>always use .357 revolver just because it was fucking cool
>eventually upgrade both lever action and revolver
>stats make it obvious
>hate myself
>end up using lever

I've been mainly using the Medicine Stick, but I can't afford to shoot .45-70 IRL.
>>
>>30471422
For just fun get a Smith and Wesson m&p 15/22. What's more fun than using all your ar attachments to shoot 22lr
>>
>>30471422
single 6 or 10
>>
>>30471422
You won't regret it
>>
>>30472566
Dude, it's a .22.

It'll be fine. I have one of those Henrys as well and it honestly might be my favorite gun. .22 levergats are a riot
>>
>>30472566

On a 22 pot metal isn't a big deal.
>>
>>30472745
Meh, I'm still living with my liberal parents and they already hate the fact that I have an AR. While I can tell them it's no different than my current 10/22 besides aesthetics, they probably won't listen.

If I want to milk them while I can until I recover from surgeries, I'll have to stick with traditional old-timey firearms. And again, I actually don't find semi auto as fun as manual action.

I still am sort of an autist when it comes to materials quality.

>>30472752
I'll consider it, but I can barely find them.
>>
>>30472785
There is something more intrinsically fun about chambering each round yourself.

Contact http://www.epicfirearms.com/ they have this in stock right now
>>

Totally.

I've already got my scary black salt rifle and ak, and now all I want to get is levergats and pump shotguns.

There's a bond you form with a gun that you have to work yourself.

Just get the Marlin OP and save yourself some cash.

It's VERY worth the money, and you can buy a bunch of ammo with what you save over getting an overpriced Henry.
>>
>>30475968
I already have 10k rounds of .22.
>>
>>30475988

Well buy the fucking rifle anyways. If it was good enough for Annie Oakley, I imagine you can get some fun out of it.

My grandfather had one from the fucking '30s that had at least 50k rounds put through it by the time it was handed down to my dad, and the thing was still the most accurate .22 in our house.

They're an extremely good lever-rifle.
>>
>>30471422
Browning BL22 is a great lever action .22, worth a look if you want a lever

bolt action, the only answer is CZ 452/455, dont bother with anything else
