Its my own new dog breed. Mother an english bull dog, Father a coyote. I call him the Tenneseean Fuckhound. He's 3 feet tall standing on all 4's and 5 feet long. Legs, tail, ears, and muzzle of a coyote. Body and head of an english bulldog. He is incapable of running, he gallops. He can jump 4 feet off the ground and has cleared 12 foot gaps effortlessly. No chain can hold him for more than 2 hours before snapping. He is 74 pounds of pure fury and he eats a pound of food a day. Truly he is the upper echelon of evolution in dogs. [spoiler] Everything here is true. His mom got raped by a coyote and died in labor. RIP Babs. I sold the pups but kept him, named him Junior because he looks just like the coyote Babs was fucked by. Fucker is all cuddly and has never snapped at me once but he hates anyone he doesn't know and will not hesitate to fucking rip someone apart. Nearly fucking tore my old roomie's hand off when he tried to beat my ass[/spoiler] will get a better pic when I get home

Back home now. Junior has one hell of a fucking stomach. He got in the cabinet and ate a whole thing of little debby chocolate cupcakes when he was a year old. Thats over a pound of fucking chocolate. Fucker didn't even get sick. He also developed demodictus mange at 6 months. Docs gave him a year to live, it cleared up in 2 months and now he's 3 years old. Never came back. Excuse shitty camera and lack of bedsheets

He was my boy. Would ride in the truck with me and whenever I would get out he would get in my seat and stay there. Was almost like he was broken too. Whenever he was thirsty he would lick the window, needed to go out he'd nip at the door.
If you do get a dog make sure you want family because they won't be anything less. They will try your patience, they will piss you off, and they will make the world go away all in one shot. I lost my job, my bike, my house, and my dog all in a two week span and he's the only one I still care about.

One of my childhood friends had a coyote pup. His dad found it, mother had died and he couldn't find the other pups. He was going to surrender it to the wildlife preservation, but the whole family became attached to the fucker, even their own Blue Heeler pup. Fucker never turned vicious on anything human or other animals on the property. I assume it was part luck. I don't know much about coyotes though.
They accidently ended up with Blue Heeler/Coyote pups because they didn't anyone fixed. Your situation sounds like a happy accident though.

Ha, I stuck a googly eye on there once. I made a white eye patch for her, but she hated both, so I gave up and left her alone.
Story tiem: I was unemployed, so I took in a ward of the state for a couple months. I had to babysit this 19 year kid who would destroy my house if he got too bored and I was gone for too long. He ended up hunting my cat around the house and finally putting a BB in the back of her eye socket. Then texted me and told me she was "acting weird". I got home, found her with a dead eye, asked him what happened, and it turns out he's a smooth liar and managed to put off my rage until he was able to get out of the house while I was at the vet with her.
I would have viciously beaten him. He knew he'd fucked up, and made sure he never had to be around me again. Lucky for him.
Anyway: here's to poor life decisions.

When I was 10 my family got a Rottweiler. We were best bros. We ALWAYS had dogs. But after the big move from the country to the city in another state, he was one of the only ones we kept. Another one of our died after having pups. We were had two we kept, but the neighbor poisoned them. Almost got our big guy too, but he was a fighter dude. Finally when I was 19, two weeks before Christmas he was starting to get real bad. Couldn't eat, if he did he would vomit, barely drank water. He'd try to go out and just lay in the cold by himself. But I knew what was happening. They say dogs run away to die, I don't know if it's true, but at the time that felt like reality to me. I picked him up and carried him inside. I stayed with him two days. He let out two yelps. He finally passed, I didn't want to believe it. I'd keep checking him for signs of breathing for five minutes before I finally accepted the fact that my best bro had died. I never wanted another dog after that. My dad ended up getting one, it wasn't the same. There was nothing wrong with her, it just wasn't the friend I wanted. It felt wrong, its gonna feel wrong for awhile. Nothing really ever fills the void the same way. But it'll be okay dude.
Now days when I get a dog, I understand that they will die some day. But its up to us to give them the best damn life we can.

I had to put my little guy down yesterday. He was only a year and a half old. He had cancerous growths all around his stomach and lungs that would have suffocated him by sunday.
He use to always come rub against me and my guns when I was trying to clean him, he wasn't a very /k/ kat, but he was my little man.
I guess I'm just saying is make sure you love you're buddies whike you can, life is short for all of us, and it can change in a single day.

My literal best friend died 3 years ago. She was with me from 13 through 30. This is my favorite photo of her, in Utah where I live now, but when we were passing through in 2006 for Thanksgiving.

I've never really trained a dog to deal with loud noises. So I kinda winged it with my guy on the range with my dad.
I'm sure the GSD forums you can find on google have tons of advice.
She loves to hunt animals, but is too friendly with people. Not sure how she would deal with an intruder, never seen her aggressive against a person.
