It's not bad at all. There's a little more recoil but it really doesn't make a big difference for regular use. This rifle is a 6920.

Carbine length kicks a little harder because it was made for 14.5" barrels, not 16". Therefore a little more gas feeds through the tube before the round leaves the barrel and pressures drop, making a little more recoil impulse.
You will barely feel the difference. both middy and carbine gas systems with 16" barrels kick substantially less than a 7.62 AK.
