Now that the dust has settled, is the VP9 really as unreliable as /k/ claims?
I want to get another striker handgun, I've sold my Glock 19 and PPQ. So it's between the VP9, the FNS, and the P320 at this point unless I just get another Glock 19.

Why'd you sell the PPQ?
>>30464915
I enjoy my p320c, nice stock trigger, sig nite lights, no safety. Pretty solid cc and about the same as a g4 g19
>>30464988
*About the same price as a g4 g19

I keep getting G19s because they are ubiquitous, no one else quite has the same size gun, there is a steady demand.

A couple of reasons. Perhaps it was where the trigger was or where the trigger breaks, even with the large backstrap, it just felt too small. I like that I can change the side straps on the VP9.
After I picked up a Glock 19, I just stopped using the PPQ.
Also, I was having feeding issues. It wasn't even just on one magazine. When the round would begin to feed it would go almost straight up occasionally and the slide would slam shut on the casing. The PPQ was a nice gun, mine just had some problems. It was like maybe once every 100 rounds that I'd have this issue.
Try the M&P out, OP.
I went to it from a Glock 19. They've update the trigger in the 2015 models so you can have a tactile and audible reset

That's why I left the option open for a Glock 19. I only sold mine because I needed the cash quickly for a bike that I was able to get at shop cost and I wasn't going to sell my Legion, P239, or 1911.
I definitely think the Glock 19 could be nicer, but it's size is perfect for concealed carry or owb. Plus magazines and parts are cheap and everywhere. But I kind of want to see what else is out there.
Literally an H&K brand Glock that is sold at a premium
It's a gun for people who want a Glock, but think they're too good for a Glock
Selling a ppk or no 19 and then buying the vp9 is full retard

>H&K brand Glock that is sold at a premium
What? They're the same price as a Glock Gen 4. Hell, I've seen the VP9 for $30 less.
p30 is better than the vp9

I'll take a look. I'd be interested in picking up a M&P .45c or a P320c in .45 if I don't go with another 9mm
>>30465103
Eh, I already have a Legion P226 and P239 so I was just looking at adding another striker.
>>30465105
I'm pretty sure the M&Pc is G19 sized.
>>30465116
>>30465116
If I remember correctly it's (9c) actually smaller. The 45c is G19 sized.
>>30465155
Is correct. The 9c is closer in size to the Glock 26.
>>30465281
That's too small for what I'm looking for. The M&P .45c is a nice size.

OP, I just picked up a VP9 last week. I made a thread about it asking what /k/ thought and for the most part I got positive responses. Now that I have it in hand I will say the gun feels solid as fuck. I'm going to shoot it tomorrow so I'll report back how well it shoots. From what I've read they seem pretty good. I paid $660 for mine and got a bunch of extra mags and a holster and mag pouch. We'll see how well it shoots.

no the vp9 is not unreliable. its basically an HK brand glock with better ergos in my opinion. ive owned almost every HK pistol and many glocks and have never had a problem with any of them. i prefer HK over all else mostly due to the name and ergonomics. anyone that tells you vp9s are unreliable are retarded faggots or trolls. ive never had a handgun fuck up on me except for expensive 1911s and thats probably because i didnt lubricate them enough during the break in period but either way i sold them immediately after.

I've owned a Glock, PPQ, VP9, and P320. There is not a whole lot of difference between them. The P320 has terrible balance and I don't personally recommend it, but otherwise, they're all pretty much equivalent.
