Look at California's gun laws and probe for holes. Do they have a specific list of banned guns or do they ban certain features? I explained it in that post. You would have to takedown the AR halfway just to load a magazine. You would ruin a lower by welding a magazine to it, and if the magazine gets damaged, you're fucked. AR magazines aren't really designed conveniently loaded from stripper clips either.
