For what you're getting for $500-$600, the trigger should be smooth, the sights could be ten times better, the guide rod should be metal (hopefully they upgraded this by now), and they should come with a grip set.
I don't hate Glock pistols, but it's overpriced for what it is, and the company acts like they're selling you a cut diamond for $550.
Rather have an M9 or a 1911, but I also wouldn't mind scooping up a police trade in Glock for $300 or so.

Anyway thanks for admitting you know nothing about driving dynamics. Hp figures and 'ring times don't mean shit in the real world. The feel of a nice car is what matters. When people are talking about steering wheel feeling l, they're not talking about how comfy the wheel is in their hands; they're talking about the feedback and respond the wheel gives you. In other words a good steering wheel will let you "feel" the road.
My Cayman which has a 8/10 steering feel, super responsive throttle, and a PERFECT shifter means I find myself passing idiots in GTRs and corvettes (faster cars on paper) all the time. Why? Because my car is easier to drive quickly -- it inspires confidence.
The same logic can be attributed to the 226 legion I shoot. It's just an easier gun to be accurate with than anything else I've shot.

Glock works for me, it's comfortable enough and accurate enough. It just performs.
I'm a miser who'd drive a Tercel even if I was a multi billionaire, so I'd probably carry one no matter what.
But, I'd probably have a Maserati in the garage and a Sig P210 in the safe. Along with a Ford Model T and an original Luger, I'm a fan of all generations.
