I don't get the meme of walking around in public with your military uniform on either, that seems to be an American thing.
I have a couple veteran friends and they never do that and I've literally never seen it here in Europooria.

Yeah I see on duty soldiers when I go to cities next to military bases, but I've never seen a someone wearing a dress-uniform, or veterans wearing any kind of uniform.
