Haven't been invaded in a thousand years.
Haven't fought on their own island in threehundred years.
They did quite alright considering how little need they had for it really.
>>
Because the Chavs would keep decorating their tanks with blue underlights and burberry.

Plus whenever they attacked an enemy position, they activate the subwoofers and deafened themselves from the sound reverberation inside the tanks.
>>
>>30443815
Yawn.
Next thread please.
>>
>>30443855

So if the burberry and bright blue lights didn't give away the tanks' positions, the loud music would.

It didn't help the Chavs would always drink before a battle.

That map is inaccurate, Britain still has overseas territories, this map notably ignores the falklands for example.

Montgomery, was overall commander of the D-Day invasion, was a to be a better equipped German and Italian army in North Africa.

Hartio Nelson beat the French and Spanish fleet without losing a single ship at Trafalgar.

SAS has heavily influenced all special forces around the world, need I say more.

This is totally how Britain could do their own version of "Stripes".

A bunch of Chav idiots join a UK tank unit, and screw things up.

Culturally they pretty much are, in addition to currently belonging to the UK.

Argentina can whine about "imperialism" all it wants, but there's nothing Argentinian about the Falklands except the location.
>>
Because Empire.

Same problem with France and other European armies.

They knew only peace and oppressing brown and yellow people. So their military was built around colonial oppression. Not even WW1 could shake them out of this rut.

Even the United States has fallen into this trap. Given our ridiculous air power advantage and nuclear weapons. We go on assuming that we won't face a serious stand up fight. So we got rid of heavy mechanized divisions and replaced them with legs and light mech. So we can deploy faster to spots around the world to kill brown people. We are building tanks that sit in storage yards, because the Army doesn't put them into units. We barely train to fight symmetrical wars against rival powers.

sometime before the century is up. the USA will fight a big conventional war. the army and marine ground forces will get their shit slapped around.

Not picking on the special forces, I am talking about the masses of the Army regulars.

Their overly cuckish gun control laws don't allow a larger proportion of the population that are accurate shooters.Like lifetime of training and not basic training in 3 months.
No private gun ownership, less practice and expert level shooting. Because they don't have guns in the population.

No protection from insurrection and invasion on a tactical level in a surprise attack because the locals aren't allowed guns.

Those grunts on the ground are expected to pull off the supreme fighting accuracy against countries that have even peasants are better overall. Even if the enemy has crappy guns, they can still shoot them better.

When drafted for a war, they don't have the tactics and gun accomplishment of actually hitting the target fast and accurately.
Therefore, more bullets fired, more grunts to grind up in each tactical failure.
More logistics to feed bullets, armor, vehicles, and more troops into a logistical nightmare that usually war entails.

They couldn't make the tanks worth a diddly damn at first in WW I. The French ones were actually better at the start, even marginally so. I bet they had positive ground electrical and couldn't be serviced by the Yanks more familiar with American car/truck technology.
The whole idea that they could do things without inter-operability even though the better tech was originally done by their allies.
Dissimilar ammo, armor, guns that are close but operate differently.

The Yanks, who farmed, shot for fun, and were good long term hunters, showed up and saved the troops.

Even the Germans bitched about the use of shotguns and trench guns in WWI. Complaining to the point of whining to the Geneva Convention.
>>
>>30445168
The British had the best weapons training of the Great War and the Second War, enjoy a very good standard at Olympic shooting to this day and have no problems in teaching their men to shoot straight.

>Like lifetime of training and not basic training in 3 months.
This has no bearing on performance in war, whatsoever.

You're suggesting America abandon a working democracy in favor of an authoritarian government hostile to us anyway?

new taiwan government is not as cozy to the PRC as previous ones.

china still likely to go apeshit if Taiwan makes an offical declaration of independence. even though it has been its own independent nation since the 50s.

all it takes is for a Taiwan government to tell PRC to go fuck themselves .
>>
>>30446102
Yes because going to war with china would fuck the economy, possibly cause a fucking nuclear war, and honestly if you care about muh democracy you're an idiot.
>>
>>30446162

In other words, submit. Roll over and let China do whatever the hell it wants, contrary to our wishes.

Britain is the most experienced nation on Earth when it comes to Earth.

Literally no other country on Earth has the warfare experience we have, we've been at war with just about everyone and everything.

Can't win everytime, but real winners have failed more times than others have even attempted.

They're both equally corrupt. Corruption in Asia is explicit while corruption in the West has been institutionalized (implicit). i.e. Lockmart, MIC, wallstreet, unions etc.
>>
>>30446360
The last time Britain had an experienced military was like 1850, everyone from that time period is dead. No experience from that era has moved to current day British military.
>>
>>30446451

Taiwan has progressed towards a more effective Democracy. China is refining its tyranny.

>No experience from that era has moved to current day British military.

Much of that experience is no longer relevant.

Modern warfare is extremely mobile, something the British Armed Forces excels at when the squaddies aren't injured from carrying too much weight
