Technically all of our land is leased to us by the government on behalf of the queen on a 99 year term. At least in Canada it's like that.
Technically Americans have an length lease on their land from the federal government though. It's how property taxes and the like remain legally enforceable.

My M109A6 Paladin had a hot water heater. They often didn't work, but my gun's water heater worked. We used it for coffee in the mornings or tea sometimes, and to warm up MREs.
