Throwing a million and a quarter spare chinks at a group of enemies who your entire economy does not yet rely upon to exist can get shit done on numbers alone. The Chinese literally threw more troops in on their own than the entire allied force had if wikipedia is to be at all trusted.
If they actually do more than dick waiving these days they could likely end up wishing they could afford nice mud huts like those wealthy Africans rather fast. Last thing they want is an actual war with the US even if they'd never actually say it aloud.
China starts real shit with the US and suddenly tons of foreign companies will be pulling out faster than a guy who just got told the person he's balls deep in has AIDS. The only advantages the Norks have are shitty old soviet surplus missiles, a limited number of jets that probably don't really work for the most part, maybe one or two atom bombs they can't do shit with that will very likely fail. As sad as it may sound today IS the height of nork power.
The Japs fought a MUCH larger and more motivated US military thank the norks did in the Korean War. They had a larger and undoubtedly better trained, disciplined, and maintained military than the norks do now.
The norks would probably suffer lots of desertion and run out of ammo with a large portion being duds while the japs merrily rape and pillage their way from one side to the other. At the start the japs would have problem with the early-mid cold war hardware, but that's only as long as it runs and has ammo. Even then the norks are probably inept enough to fuck it all up on their own making it a cakewalk.
The Japanese navy would eat the nork coasts alive.

Infantry is about equal, Japs are horrendously outmatched in terms of air and armor, and unlike in WW2 the terrain actually allows their enemy to exploit that advantage.
