The real question is how easy is it to make full auto. Hypothetically, of course.

Looks like it's a CZ variant with a funky cool slide, from the pics that we can see here.

What the actual fuck? This looks like a ghetto machine pistol conversion. I would expect any modern SMG thing to be fully enclosed, not have an exposed slide
>>
>>30439321
So get the MP9/TMP/SPP instead.

If they plan on selling it without the stock, primarily as a pistol then this setup makes more sense. Common manual of arms is nice
>>
>>30438883
So it IS a CZ 75 AUTO with a folding stock.

I wonder how comfy those are. The stock is short as hell but the grip angle seems to match it. Kinda angled back like a megaphone so that it can be held closer.

the cocking serrations and wings on the front of the slide are neat. The frame and slide totally look like a CZ-75. Makes sense, go with internal rails so you're less likely to touch moving slide. But the barrel looks different. Looks like it locks on the barrel hood rather than locking lugs.

Implying that assault pistols didn't die out in the 1990's. What does this gun offers that a standard Glock carbine conversion doesn't?
>>
And why the heck would you use a pistol carbine if you can have an MP7 that has the same size, and offers much longer range, higher mag capacity, and greater firepower?

It's actually as thin as a pistol (plus the thickness of the stock)
>>
>>30440488
It costs 10 times as much and that's about it
>>
>>30438130
>All the idiots in this thread acting like their preferred alternative isn't thicker and longer than this.

The only thing that's close is something like an ingram, and those are much more boxy.
>>
>>30440502
It looks smaller, thinner, more ergonomic, easier to unholster and bring into action, easier to shoot with stock folded, heavier, and 9mm is probably going to kill a dude better at close quarters than a piddly pdw round.
>>
>>30440445

I thought they said the thing about headshots because you wouldn't want to shoot an explosive vest

I think pistols with stocks are neat, really wish they'd make a come back

Implying the problem is the weapon and not the shooter. Standard European cops fire like 50 to 100 mandatory rounds per year - unless they shoot in their spare time at their own expenses or are the local equivalent to SWAT. New guns, will not replace deficient training.

Also, the average cop doesn't need a fully-automatic weapon as he doesn't have the training such a gun would require (remember 50 to 100 rounds per year). Therefore, the gun would have to be semi-auto, and a semi-automatic pistol carbine is still vastly inferior in term of firepower and range to an assault rifle.

Finally, let's take into account how terrorists work. They very rarely engage in firefights with the police. They did it in Paris, but in the vast majority of cases they just detonate bombs in crowded areas.

Yeah... in Parise they shot one of the terrorist in the chest, he exploded and killed some civilists... APEX is fucked up shit... goeing for the headshot can be a option
>>
>>30440677
>New guns, will not replace deficient training.

It is easier to get hits with a gun you can shoulder.

>a semi-automatic pistol carbine is still vastly inferior in term of firepower and range to an assault rifle.

This is meant to substitute handguns, not rifles. An AR-15 being better than the B&T USW in a firefight is irrelevant.

>Finally, let's take into account how terrorists work. They very rarely engage in firefights with the police.

By this logic we should disband every counter terror group, since they rarely stop acts of terror.

THAT'S IT, you're fuckin genius. That's where the barrel hood is from. I knew I've seen it but I couldn't place it. Now it's got everything - frame shape, slide, and barrel. This B&T gun is all around very similar to the Sphinx
>>

>you're fuckin genius
Tell me something i dont already know
But i would rather compare it to the 3000 series instead to the SDP.
If they manage to achieve the quality standarts of the old, pre Kriss Sphinx it should be a great gun

you sure know that Glock stocks exist?
>>
>>30440714

>It is easier to get hits with a gun you can shoulder.
Then get a rifle or a SMG.

>This is meant to substitute handguns, not rifles.
It cannot substitute to handguns as it's too large for CC. Therefore it has to be open carried. As such, cops would be much better off armed with a pistol and SMG/rifle combination. Also, don't forget that being Swiss made, this gun will cost between 2000 to 3000 euros (without optics). For the same price you have different options, like for example a Glock pistol plus an Mossberg 590 or a Scorpion Evo.

>By this logic we should disband every counter terror group, since they rarely stop acts of terror.
Counter terrorism doesn't work by stopping the terrorists when they do their thing, but either before they do it or after they've done it. Also, dedicated "counter terrorism" units don't really exist. They are either police SWAT/hostage rescue teams, or military spec ops units.
>>
>>30440866
>It cannot substitute to handguns as it's too large for CC. Therefore it has to be open carried.

You mean what 99% of all cops do? Most beat cops could carry around this thing without it being much more of a hassle than a regular service pistol, can't say the same about carrying a service pistol plus a slung long gun. Again, this is meant to be carried in lieu of a pistol. Nothing really stops them from carrying this plus a rifle.

>Also, dedicated "counter terrorism" units don't really exist

Top pedantry m8. Loads of police units have counter terrorism as their main purpose and cause of formation. Them being used for other purposes as well is just police departments not being retarded with the resources at hand.

B&T can do this. I own an APC9, i know their quality standarts
>>
>>30440931
b&t have some decent quality but they are miles behinde what Sphinx used to be.
I shoot everything they have to offer, but i dont like the apc series. It just doesnt fit me well.
The reason i am concerned about the quality is the fact thet miltiple police forces in switzerland have rejected the acp 223 as a patrol rifle

There isn't a big need for fancy new carbines as long as they have a decent amount of SIGs that pretty much every cop is familiar with.
>>
So B&T managed to make a CZ Strike One.

I'd rather the TMP/TP9 become more common.
>>
>>30440832
>i would rather compare it to the 3000 series instead to the SDP
Yup, I see that the 3000's extractor matches the B&T, and the SDP has a much shorter extractor
>>
>>30441114
They dont have the SIGs... the Kapo AG buyed the fucking SIG 516 (because if muah cheep) and the ACP was kicked out of the race first
Same with the GWK. They kicked it out nearly first and wanted something from SIG.
