Met an Aussie girl at Oktoberfest in Munich. First thing she asked me on learning I was from Texas was "so how many guns do you have?" She asked it in this really awed tone of voice, like a kid who was meeting Santa for the first time. She told me about how she lives in a remote area and uses her family's only rifle to shoot roos and rabbits, said she'd like to get into shooting more but Australia was sadly just too tough to do so in (her nearest gun store was I think something like 400 km away). She was really sweet, and had all sorts of good questions about shooting. I honestly hope she manages to get into the sport more. Australia may be a tough place to enjoy marksmanship in, but gun loving Aussies do absolutely exist.
