If I was getting a trigger for an all use carbine, I would get the SSA.
And that's what I did. Partly because I already have light triggers, and I like to optimize my guns for a specific role.
That said, get whatever you want. Anyone following all the safety rules won't have a problem with either.

some aftermarket rails i've noticed dont use a gas tube indexing barrel nut. the milstd nut very sturdily supports the gas tube and i'm wondering if there are any consequences of not doing this.

If you wanted to replace the handguard you could drop in one like Magpul or whatever. If you wanted to freefloat you"d have to remove the muzzle device, unpin the FSB, then remove the handguard and its associated pieces. Then you would torque down your FF barrel nut and install your HG and replace FSB and muzzle device.

They're cheap as fuck. I think I got my 15" with BAR nut for just over $100 on sale. I did read somewhere that they might be heavier than they're other hand guards tho, feels pretty light to me and I'm sure the difference is negligible if there is one.

Nah. I went with a Plain Jane Anderson upper and just got the BAR nut for the hand guard. I didn't really like the idea of being limited to a specific brand of handguard with my upper. I honestly don't see the benefit of the whole enhanced upper.
Got a new shipment of coffee along with my BUIS today. I've had the espresso blend before, it's 'aight, but I've got a very specific roast I like to use for my home espresso machine (consistency is important in espresso) so I brew it regularly and it tastes alright. Never had the GFC before though. Last month they shipped me the Just Black and Murdered Out which was good. Murdered out was a bit oily, but still very drinkable.
