What would be some of the initial and long term complications faced by the U.S. military if all currently serving persons across all branches woke up tomorrow with the body of Hafthor Bjornson?

Their minds remain individual as they were. Just a body swap.

Remember:

Hafthor eats 10,000 calories a day during pre-tourney workouts and typically hydrates through 8 gallons of fluid daily.

He stands just under 9 feet tall.

He weighs 520lbs

He sent Keira Nighly ( Cersai Lancaster) to the E.R. with a shattered cervix after they dated on set.
>>
>>30415107
Uh..

He's 6'9"

He weighs 400 pounds

And Cersai Lannister is played by Lean Headey.
>>
>shattered cervix

This whole post is inquirer tier but the short answer is they order bigger uniforms. The intake won't matter for shit because they'll burn off all that mass quick. Then you just have a bunch of slendermen with M4s that now look like mk18s

Pilots wouldn't fit in their planes.

They'd need a lot more food.

They'd have to replace almost every uniform.

I don't know if they'd care enough to replace bunks.

Besides that, assuming they can replace their soldiers, pretty much all of the soldiers would be returned home as quickly as possible and exchanged for emergency reservists. If both the reservists, new in training, national guard, and the military turned into him so they had to deploy him, they'd have to

>Completely reorder every single possible uniform
Military max height is 6'8'', weight is about 240.
>Completely reorganize transports, and lodgings
I don't know if a 9' man can fit in a standard issue tent/sleeping bag, and definitely not a cot.
>Probably issue an extra MRE a day
10,000 calories is not really necessary or anywhere close needed for military work or survival. You'd probably be looking at 5k-6k. They'd probably just let you starve and give you some extra rations to prevent you from outright dying.
Oh, and
>Every fucking vehicle with a limited interior has to be readjusted

Like I'm not sure what you were going for here. It would be a huge pain in the ass, and with pretty much no benefit.

it's pretty good actually. slight takeup then a break. only complaint with mine is that an aluminum trigger shell from those CX4 guys costs like 100 dollarydoos. a 4lb single stage trigger is hard to fuck up but people still fox and grapes hard because they won't drop 8 hundo on a pistol carbine.

the recoil is sharper/stiffer than you'd think for a 9mm carbine due to the size and weight of the direct blowback bolt reciprocating, but it's still AR tier or less.

also the px4 can fire +p and +p+ ammo with no problem. it'd be the perfect HD gun if the 1934 NFA disappeared and you could flush the barrel and load it with +P+ tungsten sabot AP 9mm.

In that sense yes. Liberals tried to limit the "deadliness" of guns but in effect force you to use a more deadly caliber.

.45 does make bigger holes, but with handguns more holes is always better than bigger ones (at least when we're talking the big 3 service calibers), it's especially helpful with multiple attackers to have more rounds.

I just got a Taurus Tracker is .44 magnum.

I got it as a hiking pistol for bear, moose, and self defense.

I'm looking to replace the factory grips with something that will provide a better grip, while being comfortable, and classier.

The revolver is a medium sized 5 shot with a pretty glossy black finish.

I'm trying to decide on what sort of grip to get. I'm pretty sure I want finger groves, but do I want a square butt or a round butt? Checkering or no checkering? Gloss finish or matte?

Thanks for the input!

This one has a square butt, so will have the more traditional profile associated with older revolvers. It has finger grooves and checkering as well, but a matte finish.

The taurus tracker is a lightweight, ported .44 magum. It has a pretty modern profile so I'm not sure how the square butt will look on it. Maybe bad ass?

By the way I'm really obsessing over this decision because the grips will have to be ordered from Thailand and will take 6 weeks to get here.

Hogue does not make any wood grips for the Tracker.

I'm doing an M1911 build (my first gun build) from an 80% receiver.

Does anybody know where I can find cheap/halfway affordable pistol parts? My dad suggested Sarco arms (which is close by in Easton, PA) but none of their parts kits are in stock and I have a feeling won't be for some time.

I bought an 80% alluminum receiver for $200 flat, and I'm looking at a slide, barrel, and upper receiver parts kit for $550 on 1911Builders.com (link here https://1911builders.com/collections/slides/products/1911-45-acp-complete-5-ss-slide)

Can I find those parts for cheaper than that? I'm not *too* concerned about quality or durability; I'm not going to use this for much beyond practicing shooting pistols and likely a sentimental piece, but I'd like to not wind up with pieces of poorly machined shit that I have to do hours of fitting to get to work together.

Picture is semi-related and a nice wallpaper.

This grip I honestly find bizarre, but would consider if you guys really thought it was the right choice.

It is round butt, checkered, with a gloss finish, but has no finger grooves.

I stumbled upon a moose the other day with a friend. We were maybe 25 FEET away from him, and all I had was 6 shots of 9mm in my tiny Kahr CM9.

After watching Miculek's revolver videos I'm confident that with enough practice and training a double action .44 magnum can be a very viable defense pistol.

>hat would be some of the initial and long term complications faced by the U.S. military if all currently serving persons across all branches woke up tomorrow with the body of Hafthor Bjornson?
>Their minds remain individual as they were. Just a body swap.

they would go into withdrawl from a lack of steroid injections as their body isn't naturally processing it anymore
side effects can be pretty severe, so unless the military started ransacking testosterone injections and other stuff used to treat the side effects from everywhere they could get it they'd have a massive medical and psychological crisis' popping up all over the place immediately.
there would probably be a lot of suicides from the withdrawls, roid rage type stuff, mass depressive episodes and a lot of other stuff guys snapping at one another, people unable to focus on work tasks, ect.

This is the last grip, and is also a strong contender. It has a round butt for a more modern profile, as well as finger grooves and checkering to provide a positive grip. It has a matte finish however.

So honest question, I'm planning on getting a 5.45 AK ASAP as my primary and I've narrowed it down to a DDI, an Arsenal, or a VEPR.

From what I understand the Arsenal is going to be overkill 90% of the time, and it likely would be for me, but I figured the $300-$400 might be worth it and honestly I'm a little concerned that a DDI would die on me later on. Now VEPR is a good brand from what I understand and cost-wise it's more in the middle, so should I just get that? Am I even looking at the right brands for this caliber?

My grandfather is almost on his deathbed and I've been thinking of all his old war stories, so naturally, I wanted to ask /k/ about his guns.

If you need context, I don't have exact dates but he fought for 2 years in a war that lasted from 1948 to 1960, and he would've been 18 (and hence in national service) in 1952, so presumably all weapons mentioned would've been slight improvements on their World War II models.

Anyway, what's /k/ opinion on these guns?
1) American M2 carbine - my grandfather sung the praises of this gun. Was he right? If I'm not mistaken, the M1 is considered to be top-tier.
2) German Luger (pistol) - this almost got him killed (an SAS lad had to save him), are they really shit-tier? The story goes that even after he had all the guys at the barracks check it, it still fucking jammed on him. If memory serves, even shit like war movies portray this weapon as utter shit (e.g. Band of Brothers has it fire in a man's pocket and kill him). Was it really that bad?

Semi auto for a lot of real life reasons, revolver if you're just getting a gun because "Oh I just thought I should get a gun." Revolvers are virtually unbannable and last forever if you take care of it properly. That isn't to say that a nice glock or M&P won't also outlive you if you maintain it, but it's a matter of fewest moving parts to replace and take care of.

While I was visiting my grandpa he let me take some of his guns out to one of his local shooting ranges.
I got to shoot a Winchester 30-30 for the first time. Thing is I could only load three rounds +1 chambered.
Now that i read about it online it looks like it should've been able to load at least 6 rounds.
Was there some kind of restrictor inside the tube or was the rifle just fucked up somehow? Are restrictors like that a thing? I know I've heard of having to put them in shotguns when hunting in certain areas.

I think It was made by FN for Ecuador but that might just be fudd lore so don't quote me on that.

A fella is telling me that a Ruger 10/22 is the best starting rifle. I have no clue if he's correct or not but it seems pretty basic. I was witching that hickock45 guy in YouTube and he made me want to get into guns - particularly his Mosin Nagant video. Ruger or Mosin Nagant for first gun? Easy to take care of? Cheap? Fun? Looking around here for like 10 mins it seems like the Mosin Nagant is some sort of meme on /k/ so I thought I'd ask. Also the Ruger seems a bit... Girly to me.

does your grampa hunt? if so its very likely there is a restrictor in there. look up the laws in the area he hunts.
>>30456209
dont buy a mosin. it was recommened when the rifle and ammo were cheap but they're not anymore. 10/22s are alright but i believe the best first gun is a gun that you want and will be excited to shoot

>>30456209
+1 to getting a 10/22 over a mosin.
Like the other guy said, they were worth it when they are 100$ and you could get a can of ammo for cheap, but that's not how it is anymore.

I'm thinking about moving to the United States. I'm interested in handgun shooting and long range surplus rifles. The problem is, I have no direct connection to anyone there outside of my possible job.

How usual is it to meet new friends on a range? Is there really an US "gun culture" and would it be possible for me to make some new contacts there?

What are your experiences with this? Have any of you made some good relationships through your shooting hobby?

Sorry for the broken English..

Is it worth it to wear an anti-rape condom?

I already carry a gun, but like if I somehow lost my gun and someone tried to buttfuck me, I'd be kind of out of options other than trying to take a shit to deter them; like if I'm out of poo or they're german or something; rape condom could be difference between getting raped to death or not...

On the other hand, I think it'd be pretty fucking uncomfortable to wear around all the time, I'm not really into butt-stuff (receiving).

i dont have experience with revolvers with rubber grips so i dont know how much it really matters. she probably wont carry anyway but i might use it for summer so cc matters a bit. would be easier for her to use then my semi autos tho. do you have any recommendation?

Who makes a better reproduction, Uberti or Cimmaron? They're both priced pretty close and I can't decide. Reviews seem to put them both on equal footing.

Does anyone else make these?

Alright /K, which upper do I get, is Troy a good company? The fact that I'm getting flip up sights and a BCG & CH, for maybe $10 more kinda makes me want Troy. I'm not really concerned about 2" of rails.
Is Troy shit or is this a great deal?

something wrong with my SMLE?
>>

2 of 20 meaning those are the only 2 of 20 with such heavy strikes. I'm assuming they were the first of both mags.
is this anything to be concerned for?

For hollywood so he looks even more shredded.

Muscle definition is no joke.

I like how he plays a horrible zombie rapist killer but IRL is a pretty cool guy.
