What modern production DA/SA handgun has the best Double action trigger pull? Is it the Sigs?
>>
>>30408741
The DA pull on a standard Sig is awful, sadly.
My P226 X-Five Allround's DA pull is incredibly shitty. The SA is good but could be better.

Sig Legion. No competition.

>>30408817
I disagree. Every Sig that I've had has had a great DA and SA trigger pull, save for my old SP2022 which wasn't bad but wasn't great.

>>30408886
The 92/M9 does have a great trigger, but the Legion kills everything. That said, I'd like to shoot a Wilson Combat 92 Brigadier and see how that compares to the Legion.

How is the berreta 92fs vs the sig P226 9mm for self defense?
>>
>>30408817
How new was the Allround? I found mine got substantially better after about 500 rounds on both DA and SA pulls
>>
>>30408963
Not him, but personally I prefer Sigs. I love the Beretta 92, don't get me wrong. But I'm so familiar with the take down and controls. I prefer having a decocker only and like the location on the sig rather than the slide mounted safety/decocker on the M9/92. You can get a 92G if you can find one which is a decocker only, but you'll pay more for it.

Both are great guns, I'm a Sig fanboy but I'm not going to badmouth the 92 either.
>>
>>30408741
The West German Sig you posted has kind of an average DA pull, but a new production Sig, especially pretty well broken in, especially a Sig Legion, definitely is going to have the best DA trigger pull of any new production DA/SA pistol, out of the box.

That said, I prefer to shoot HK USP's because DA trigger pull smoothness is not everything.

Its just so meh, especially given that there are so many great DA/SA triggers out there. Even the SP2022 has a nicer trigger than a P30. It's literally the P30's biggest drawback. The USP trigger is much nicer.

The P30 is a nice gun and having a meh really doesn't take anything away from it. It's full of pro's, but if we're talking strictly in the context of best triggers, it's just not up there imo

My buddy had an old CZ-75 that probably had 5000+ rounds through it, so needless to say it was very well broken in. The DA trigger pull on that was like silk, best of any auto pistol I've personally shot.
>>

i got a new Sp-01 recently, my brother said the DA pull was amazing.

HK DA is heavier than sigs by a little bit
SIG has a better DA hands down, but the SA is not that much different, in fact I couldn't really tell shooting them

>Every Sig that I've had has had a great DA and SA trigger pull,
The stock trigger on my P226 was fine too. but its just that the reset was a mile fucking long. I put in an SRT kit and it made a world of difference to me. Everything else about the trigger is still the same, except the reset. I wouldn't want to go back.
>>
>>30412571
>is so meh
>is much nicer

Can you give any specifics? I'm asking what is it about a trigger that makes it "nice" or "meh."
>>
>>30412990
The P30 trigger is heavier than a standard Sig, yes. Does that make it worse, though? Both have smooth pulls, as opposed to being gritty or what I'd call "geary," where you can feel the different internal levers engaging other internal levers. The Sig has an evenly weighted pull, whereas the P30 pull gets heavier toward the breaking point. As a result, the breaking point of the P30 is a couple pounds heavier than the Sig, but you only experience the extra weight at the end of the pull, so I'm not sure it makes that much of a difference on the shooting experience.
>>
>>30413337
Go read a bunch of P30 reviews. The opinions on the trigger range from "it's trash" to "you get used to it".

I don't have to. I own one. I summarized my opinion of the trigger in >>30413391. Are you just basing your opinion on "a bunch of reviews" or have you ever actually shot one? Notice how I gave specifics as to why I think it's a good trigger? I'm not saying it's the best DA/SA trigger out there, just that it is, in fact, a good trigger.

You made the right choice. The Legions are utter crap, but hey atleast it came with an overpriced collectors coin...

http://www.tactical-life.com/combat-handguns/sig-sauer-mk25-9mm/

The only non-German or W.German Sig I would buy would be the MK25.
>>
>>30409008

So on the Sig there is just a decocker, no manual safety and on the 92, its a safety/decocker.

So lets say I've got them both with the hammer back and I hit the decocker. On the 226 it takes it back to DA and I've got no way of putting a manual safety on and on the 92 it decocks the gun and puts it safety so that I have to flick the safety back off to fire it DA?

Do I have that right?
>>
>>30409375

Might as well get it small if you're limited to 10 rounds of 9mm.

Is the CZ Rami BD legal in your state? I know Commifornia has some shit rules about concealable pistols too.

Best choice for commiefornia is this:

-smaller than a G19
-10 rounds of 45acp stopping powah
-Glawk brand Glawk so its reliable

If you can search for a used 30S for a good price on Calguns then jump on it. If you can't then a 30SF is fine bu the 30S is the straight up best version of the Glock 30.

The box and coin cost money to produce. Also the Legion is just a collab cash grab from both GrayGuns and Sig. The MK25 on the other hand is the gun that SIG makes the least amount of money from due to its higher manufacturing cost.

Will confirm that either Raven or BlackPoint Tactical are great for OWB

That said, Comp-Tac is GOAT for IWB. I use the Comp-Tac Minotaur for my P239 and a BlackPoint Tactical for my P226.
>>
>>30419172
IWB, appendix carry
>>
>>30419239
Appendix carrying a P229? If you can do it, more power to you. I prefer any larger gun to be at 4 o'clock.

I'd recommend a dedicated appendix holster and prefer a hybrid rather than a straight up kydex pancake holster.

Check out Comp-Tac's offerings.
>>
>>30419295
No choice really. My hip is fucked, the way I walk causes me to print constantly, and my shirts end up on top of the holstered gun if I have it anywhere else
>>
>>30416757
You are correct.
>>
>>30419490
Try a hybrid, it's the best of both worlds. But buy quality. Cheap leather is not something you want to deal with down the road.

You'll get the benefits of the kydex shell but you'll have a leather backing that will be more comfortable and conform to your body better.

I love Raven, especially because they're like 30 minutes from me, for OWB, but not so much for IWB unless it's the Vanguard 2 which I really wish I could find for my 442.

Okay but its still MIM parts unlike the MK25's decocker and slide catch.

I'd say you do have a point on why the Legion cost more, however it still does not warrant the extra $300.

I have the 229 elite shown above. Love it. Doubt anything will ever think about breaking for the next 100,000 rounds. IMO the MK25 should be the base sig, like the vertec should be the base Beretta. To add to that they should never have stop making real P228s and Beretta should never have dropped the centurian. They both grant out a billion models with seemingly random variance. at least with sit Cohen can be blamed, with Beretta I guess it's a matter of HQ being Italian

But what do they give a shit
>>
>>30423921
I agree, sig makes me wonder if mk25 is overpriced? or the p226 is a POS that they skimped on parts. Why not just make every gun to the best of their engineering standards.
>>
>>30423921
I wonder how succesful it would be if you just ordered Beretta modularly. So you picked your frame (standard vertec compact ect) then your slide (normal, compact ect) barrel (standard, threaded). Beretta would automatically add the correct springs and such. Should work no?

In any case, the DA on my P01 is, in fact, gritty. The pull will get better over time though, this is a known thing with CZ. My buddy just got a police trade in 92F, and the pull in DA is shockingly good. I'd go as far as to say that it is the feature of the pistol that I like the most. It is deffinetly as good as my pops' 75B, but I wouldn't say it's nescessarily better.

I've tried about every trigger on a production gun out there and own a P226 elite, USP, and a jericho. In my opinion the jericho and all EAA/Tanfoglios have the nicest feeling factory triggers. The DA is far closer to a revolver, where as everything else is mushy or just strange feeling. The beretta M9/92 aren't too bad, I'd probably rate them the next step down.
