everyone wears the full size version of all their medals and awards. instead of just ribbon devices. spaced so they clink and clank against each other when you walk and march.
elisted leadership positions all get different daggers to wear on their sam browne belt. officers in leadership positions get different swords. when a change of responsibility or change of command ceremony is perfored. The involved parties exchange the dagger or sword. Instead of a Guide On Flag.
aviator sunglasses. enlisted get silver and officer get brass frames. can be worn for outside ceremonies on sunny days.

There's plenty of ways to learn if you want, the real question is what your preference is. Some people like to read a book, some like to watch shows (Korea's television/film industry is arguably better than ours in many ways, they have some seriously good stuff produced), or even take some tours/language classes through the base. I guarantee most Koreans will be impressed as hell if you can speak even 50 words of Hangul and understand basic things like bowing or taking your shoes off.
Also, when your dad would have been over there, juicy bars had actual Koreans working them. Later they were staffed with Russians who were also apparently pretty hot, but these days it's annoying screechy Flips. Hot and wifeable Flips exist but not in Korea.

Dude, going active reserve was a fucking awesome choice on my part. That stick in everyone's ass? GONE. Everyone is chill as fuck. Much easier to switch MOS, duty station, or even branch too, from what I've seen (joint environment and people talk a lot). A lot of great networking opportunities because people come from all sorts of civilian careers--I work with people who are fulltime cops, teachers, apple growers, rabid entrepreneurs, store owners, mapmakers... all kinds of shit.
You get paid 4 days of work for 2 days of drill, and get Tricare for a low premium (said premium might be coming to active duty anyways) so your main job can be salary negotiated better. That there are other benefits beyond that is just icing on the cake. And if your main job lays you off you may (this depends a lot but it's definitely a thing I've seen people do) be able to go on active orders to just do the regular work week again getting paid like you were active duty again.
It's like this great secret that they try to keep you from learning about while active duty. Mind, this is from the intel POV, for other MOS/AFSCs YMMV, but hey, crosstrain or hop branches if you so desire.
